I think the best approach is to watch the episodes not covered by the movie (ep15-18) and then skip to the movie. Especially for the Resurrection F arc, it was produced on a massive time crunch and the animation and writing for the anime version of that arc is BAD. You’ll only miss one minor 1-second unimportant scene. Trust me, you will not be able to derive anywhere near as much fun if you start with the arc version. The arc version has ruined the movie for a lot of people, including myself

But if I’m not mistaken, some time AFTER that, he had a run-in of sorts with Beerus and Beerus trapped him in the sword. But no, the witch did not trap him in the sword, only fused with him.

2024-10-01 02:22:08 +0000 UTCSuper was obviously written like almost 20 years after Dragon Ball Z, and it wasn’t entirely written by just Toriyama like Z was, so there will be a lot of plot holes and new cannon events they just add to the timeline out of nowhere. So don’t be surprised when things don’t make too much sense from now on.
