Let's be real. The reason Gotenks and Gohan were epic fails were because Toriyama wanted DBZ to go back to being 'The Goku Show'. Same with Super. At least ToP let other characters pretend to be relevant.

2024-11-29 18:46:52 +0000 UTCNo, it's because if you actually watched it when it aired on tv and didn't have the convenience of binge watching on streaming platforms, Buu saga had AWFUL pacing and writing. It's way more tolerable now when you don't have to wait a week or more for an episode.

With the knowledge of him killing Chi Chi, Videl, Ox-King, etc., and from his fight with Cell where he should've learned that dragging on the fight has consequences, he should've killed regular Super Buu immediately 🤦🏾♂️

2024-08-24 03:42:03 +0000 UTCactually absorption was a little different then turning them into candy, when he eats people they die, with the exception of fat buu because being broken in to bits doesn't destroy him, but the absorption technique just stores them in his body and gives him attributes of the absorbed individual, so tehnically the only person buu absorbed through eating was fat buu, the rest were just killed

Most speculate that his absorption is an additive so his power has most likely been doubled, because Buu and Gotenks were about equal. Not to mention the little bit that Piccolo added as well. Impressive that Gohan could hang at all with the likes of that. Even if Buu was probably just playing around at first. Better than in the manga where Buu kicks the shit out him almost immediately.

Seems like people tend to pull these numbers and multipliers out of nowhere. Or use unofficial guide books that Toriyama most likely never read nor used as a model in DBZ.

When Buu started using Piccolo's mind games on Gohan he started to lose and get sloppy 4. When Gohan get's injured he can't heal, Buu gets an advantage. It's like going up against someone with the same strength as you but every punch you take hurts and every punch you give back they heal from it. 5. Better than what Goku would of been able to do 🤷
