Some bit of rant:

This illustration came with a bit of delay (no pun intended here :' ))) ) as a few days ago I was hit by a little incident just as I working on it.

Has any of you also experienced the 'Windows defender false-positive hive ransomware error' ? Cause I certainly did and that thing ruined me for an entire day 😱🙃

For those of you who were lucky not to experience this, Windows defender had an update a few days ago and there was an error that caused the system to detect any apps that used chrome as 'hive ransomware', flashing the windows defender message that a ransomware attack was detected.

Among those apps, clip studio, the software that I use for drawing as well as sketch-up, the one that I use for backgrounds, both triggered the Windows defender message 🥴. Obviously.. the moment I saw that I instantly thought ".... yep, I'm screwed. All my work might be lost now.."

Apparently a lot of people experienced this error and it was fixed in about 24 hours, but until I found out that it was a false positive I actually thought I lost all my files 😰😰😰.

The next 4 hours I spent trying to move whatever I could to cloud and external hard drives... and it did seem a bit odd, because I kept getting windows warning messages but my files seemed ok as I moved things.

Took a while to find some news and read a whole reddit thread where people discussed the error and confirmed that it was all nothing to worry about.

So yeah, in the end everything was ok, but I was completely drained from the emotions roller coaster that I experienced 🙃

If any of you also went through this mess, hope you had an easy time recovering from the major spook.

Moral of the story: Frequently back up your files in a safe place!

Sorry to hear this, but unwanted side effects of windows updates (or even broken updates) are nothing new... Me is using ESET for many years now and had no problems. And yes, the images are better than imagined. And as mewble said, Max proably didnt get only a week off but also some fruits :P Thanks.
