I took a small break from restoring the pages and decided to paint something again - I missed that feeling SO MUCH! With all the AI crises going around one might feel irrelevant and even like it's pointless to pursuit art. But art is the truest expression of the human soul and something that will never be taken from us or replaced!
I've been having so much fun working with No North's "New style" because I want it to feel very human and handmade. It's funny to think one of my main focuses used to be absolute perfection - but now it's expression! And I feel free and like I'm having fun like a kid with a pencil again!
It's still going to be quite a journey and I don't want the changes to feel like a downgrade for you guys, who have been with me during this whole time! But I have a feeling this will take us all down beautiful and unexpected roads...

I had the urge to paint something like this in my new style when I heard the song The Travelers by Amarante (Especially from 2:55 going forward. What a thrilling song!)

Oh, wow, this has to be one my favorite pieces of art you’ve ever done!! The lighting and gorgeous scenery in the background is incredible, not to mention that amazingly drawn mountain!! It all sets the scene and mood and emotions in the piece so well. I love the hues of the pinks and browns and blues, aughhh they’re my favorite! And you draw them so well, this is why you’re my favorite artist! And Steban, Delilah, and Martin all look stunning though weary on their journey! Their expressions and anatomy with your art style look amazing! Beautiful piece, and great job! I am really liking this new style, I really hope we get to see more of this!! Also, The Travelers is such a good song, and its feeling is captured so perfectly in this, and I can see how it fits with No North, especially Steban’s love of adventure, I can see him singing and encouraging Delilah and Martin past 2:55!! I feel like that’s one incredible thing with art, the way it can meld with music and help tell its story and feeling.
