How have you all been??
I have some big news - I've been officially invited as one of the artists for a project of great relevance! I'll only take a tiny part in it, but it's been one of the biggest honors of my life to be a part of it.
I cannot speak about it yet though, so please keep this hush hush! That's why I won't tell you what it is, but I still want to keep you updated on my work!
I'm still currently writing No North, and it'll still take me more time. I want Book 2 to be as awesome as it can be, and it's very challenging to hit the right mark with it!
I'm excited to hear your thoughts on these sketches though, I wished I could post more! Thank you all SO MUCH for all of your incredible support, it means the literal world to me!

I know I'm replying late to this, but this is fantastic news! This sounds amazing Skailla. Whatever it is you've been up to, it definitely sounds big! Congrats to you on being able to take part in it, and I hope we'll get to hear all about it soon! Very cool sketches! You always have such an amazing touch when it comes to character designs and expressions. I can't wait for Book 2, I know it's going to be incredible! :)

Because it’s such a high honor, I’m guessing you may be part of an indie animated film project? The characters remind me of the two leads from the Epic Order of the Seven book series, which I adored as a child!

You deserve each bit of recognition you get, your work is amazing; I’m so excited to see it! I hope you’re having a good time working on it. Oh, and those sketches are great, it’s a perfect blend of anatomy, expression, and your style and it looks beautiful! And that little terrier, too- i remember a terrier in Book 1, what was his name, Anthony? He also reminds me a lot of Tramp from Lady and the Tramp. You got the expressions down to a science. Your work and sketches always inspires me, and i recently got a new cat, Kingsley, so this is kind of perfect timing. I’ve been wanting to draw him, but since I’ve mainly had experience with just dogs, it’s a bit difficult to get the proportions right, but you managed it perfectly! I hope the project goes well, I’m very excited to see your work on it, and that you have a pleasant evening. May endless adventures await you! P.S. Lord Huron released their new single and music video, Who Laughs Last. It’s great!
