Here's a little something I wanted to share!
I've read the Inkheart series again since I heard there's a new book coming! (Actually just the first and second book so far, but shh)
These books have been so important to me growing up! Reading something you used to adore when you were 12-16 years old hits different. It feels as if all of my own memories are stuck in the pages of these books (which is quite ironic, if you know what the book is about!)
Dustfinger is one of my favorite characters ever and he has been such a huge influence on my writing style and characterization in my own stories.
He's a human dude, not a fox btw. But I love how the book is always comparing him to one. Foxes being my favorite animals ever since I was a kid just made me like him more!
So here you go, a fox Dustfinger for you, based on some of Paul Bettany's amazing facial expressions when he interpreted the character during the live action movie!
The style is also playfully based on the Fox and the Hound! <3
I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts on this one! You guys are the best!

Ohhh I just love the expressions in this one, you captured them so perfectly! I can definitely see the Fox and the Hound inspiration, but it’s also incorporated with your design, I love it! Dustfinger’s design is great, too- in fact, I’ve been thinking about reading Inkheart myself!
