No North - Book 1 - Page 190

GUYS ITS PAGE DAAY!

How I longed to get to this scene!

Now we get to see a bit of how things were 5 years ago. Marsha looked up to Steban like a big brother (or even almost a father figure) when she was younger.

He knew how much little Marsha struggled at home and socially, and always did what he could to brighten her up and remind her of her worth.

I would absolutely LOVE to hear your thoughts on this one! It's such a joy to hear your opinion on these pages, and they mean a lot to me!

Thank you all so much for your amazing support!

Gosh this scene is just so heartwarming and beautiful! ๐Ÿ’– The gorgeous background and the lighting/ peaceful atmosphere really convey the mood and the significance of this moment, and how meaningful this relationship between Marsha and Steban was โœจ I think it really shows just how much you want the reader to feel the impact of this scene and its importance to the story. There's so much feeling here in this page, and it makes the desire to see Marsha and Steban mend their old frienship that much stronger. I really don't have the words to do this justice! ๐Ÿ˜… It's just such a lovely page in every way! I can see not much has really changed here from the minicomic you posted for No Northvember, and I agree it was just too good to not include! I can't wait to see how things progress from here!

The more I see, the more curious I get about what Steban specifically did to make his relationship with Marsha go cold, to make Billy violent at the mere sight of him, to make Balthazar drive him away, and to make the Bull King refer to him directly while burying the Compass. The Enders seem to be well-regarded, as shown by those who were demanding a comeback when Balthazar took the stage after Edgar's disappearance. They were obviously looking for the Compass, but failed. Why is Steban specifically the one who is hated so much? He's been shown to only ever be well-meaning in his interactions with others, if a bit impulsive. What could have turned someone who was clearly beloved into someone who is so hated? Can't wait to see! Also, love the warm colors of this page. I hope Marsha gets some of her spark back once she sees Steban and Martin return with the Compass, though I'm sure that'll only be the start of the troubles.
