Can you guys react to Hwarang (sorry if I spelled it wrong). It’s a kdrama that V is in and also the chef in this show, I believe they became close friends from acting together in that show, anyway I watched it and it’s honestly one of my favorite kdramas. At first I was iffy about it but all the actors did an amazing job and the story is so good!

actually wooshik didnot work with taehyung in his drama, park seo jun (corn dog making guy)was the lead in hwarang which tae acted in and wooshik was seojun's friend so eventually tae became friends with wooshik too and the other lead from that drama was park hyungshik whom you guys met on the run bts ep when tae became friends with them they were all up and coming actors in their career and now bts is top on music and the actors he became friends with became top in their own fields

You can often hear the seniors calling them seojuna and wooshika. If you ever watch the KDrama Fight for My Way, you will see them acting together.

The more I watch you guys watch Jinny's Kitchen, the more I'm convinced that you'd enjoy Kian's Bizarre B&B, too. Not only would it show you a different (and still hilarious) side of Jin and his dynamic with the other 2, I think you'll also like the guests. I didn't expect to be as invested in them as I was but they were truly wonderful in the show. The four of you (especially Summer) get so moved by regular people's stories and interactions and I just know that the guests will have a similar effect on you. Like, I cried and was truly emotional in some parts. It was also so cool seeing them react to seeing THE Jin of BTS! I know you're still on Run Jin and you try to balance members' solo content, but I do hope that you'll get to Kian's Bizarre B&B soon! Don't worry - it's not as stressful as running a kitchen hahaha On another note, it makes me laugh when you guys get stressed about the orders. It's also so fun to see you be comfortable with the vibe and the language of the locals and customers of Jinny's Kitchen! I'm watching this for the first time with you and I'm enjoying it.

You guys are going to have stop referring to Seo Joon as "Park"...lol. The more you get to know Tae's friends, the worse it will be for you if you keep calling them by their last names. Tae has a "Park Collection" ;-). Besides Seo-joon, there's also Jimin, Hyun-sik (both from the Woogas), Bo-gum (actor friend - was just in "When Life Gives You Tangerines" and is also a Celine ambassador like Tae), Park Hyo-shin (Winter Ahead feature), Ji Soo (a.k.a. "NIve" - producer/writer with Tae for "Blue & Grey"), Jae Sang (a.k.a. PSY), and less known is Park Jihoon (an actor who was a big fan of Tae and then later met him and they became gaming buddies. Jihoon was in At a Distance, Spring is Green, and more recently he's the main character in Weak Hero Class (S1 and S2). Tae's got lots of Parks. LOL!

I have a theory that the man who showed up as their first customer is the man who rented the building space to them. Because he wasn't just walking by--he seemed to drive up knowing it was there, and then during discussion with the others that joined them someone commented that he was a landlord. That would also explain why he was calling so many people to join--he feels a sense of belonging to the success of the show. : ) (I didn't see anyone comment about this on the last video, so pardon me if this was already discussed!)

Abby, great noticing about how Boss brought the extra chopsticks on a tray after the customer dropped his. Very important in Korean culture- you're not supposed to just bring & hand someone something informally, esp your elders or guests. Like how Koreans put 2 hands to pour or receive alcohol or how they turn their heads to the side to drink in front of elders, you have to put whatever you're bringing on a dish or tray to hand it to someone, as a sign of respect.

They did put stickers on the cans. You see it often in korean shows (as well as bts shows) since they are not endorsed by certain brands etc they put stickers or tapes on top of the logos. Most of the time it's black tape but they probably used stickers (with jinny's kitchen) on the cans to make it look nicer than tape

Seojoon, Wooshik and V they are close friends before this show , they’re part of “ Wooga Squad” with other two members, they’re really close friends, before V’s military they be together all night , and after discharge also. Also, they have a show together called “ in the soop: Friendcation” . They also close to V’s parents as they spend time in his house . I really love the friendship.

I love this show so much - I rewatch it on stressful days. It's so wholesome. I feel like the American version would be watching famous people screw up, right? But the Korean version is watching these incredibly famous people work very hard to do something they've never done before. We're not laughing at their mistakes, we're just cheering them on. Summer, you are absolutely right that gimbop can be prerolled & then sit there to cut later! Good idea! Many gimbop restaurants do that! P.S. so.. sushi & gimbop are different bc sushi is Japanese & gimbop is Korean. Also, while sushi can be nigiri (fish on top of some rice) or rolls & can have raw fish (but not necessarily always raw), gimbop is always rolled & does not have any raw fish (all meat in it is cooked). I am a sushi & gimbop FIEND - love them both & eat it quite often! personally, i LOVE to eat gimbop with tteokbokki bc then I dip the gimbop in the tteokbokki sauce - SO GOOD! P.P.S. as a person who has also made gimbop often at home - it is SO much work bc of all the ingredients you have to prep first, then rolling is so tricky! But it is really yummy & I hope y'all taste it one day! Wish I could make you some & send it to you for a Mail Monday! (if you were ever desperate for it, Trader Joes does have a microwaveable frozen gimbop - it's not really authentic as getting it from a korean gimbop place, but it's not bad!)

It's funny how Western celebrities would never do this but in Korea, celebrities are such good sports and go on all sorts of variety/reality shows. It's all good fun (and exposure for promotions lol) Some fun facts for you: 36:03 It's hard to see here, but Choi Woo Shik's name on the SB cup is Eddie. When he lived in Canada, he went by Edward/Eddie. 40:49 Growing up Asian, we're taught to measure water for the rice by using our hands just like V did. Then making rice becomes our job every night lol 1:16:05 Idk if there's a difference between laver and seaweed but that's basically what laver is. Those laver rolls are aka gimmari. Jung Kook made them on an ep of ITS2. He tossed them in a wok on the fancy stove top. It's also mentioned in the pyjama party Run ep. When they asked each other TMI questions and Jung Kook's question was how many gimmari did he eat at dinner. Later, V *is saying hot dog. The subtitles don't always match. Lastly, when Woo Shik arrives, that is the score from Parasite.

Happy Wednesday!! So yes, they cover the Coke with stickers instead of having to blur it in editing. K-Variety shows do that a lot - you'll see them blur writing on shirts, hats, etc. Re: fried laver roll has glass noodles inside as well. And re: Korean spicy is a slow burn. At first try, it's not spicy but then the spice builds up, so I see people who try it and say "it's not spicy" but it does build up. Next episodes are so exciting!!
