Welcome back and Happy Friday! Today we are watching Episode 86 of Run BTS! Hangul Day Special Part 1. In this episode the guys are celebrating Korean Alphabet Day or Hangul Day.
Today's mission is to collect stickers! Oh and only speak Korean while playing a trivia game. 😁 Even though we couldn't understand it all, it was still just as funny. Now we are on a mission to learn Hangul by next Friday for Part 2. If not, by Part 3 for sure.

2025-04-29 15:06:10 +0000 UTCThe 'bless you' came from during the Black death era in Europe. When someone sneezes, that means they got that virus and soon will die, so others told them 'Bless you'. Since Koreans didn't have the Black death era, they don't say anything when ppl sneeze.

2025-04-02 16:54:57 +0000 UTCthe 'good job' comment: yes we say it in english, but korean phrase is more nuanced and it doesn't really translate that well. It's more like "you've worked really hard". In general, korean has so many words for expressions and feelings, that english language just doesn't have an equivalent. Example; han (meaning a sense of deep sorrow, resentment, rage, or regret) in just one simple word.
