Omg re: trying to speak Korean to someone and they are like “ uh I can speak to you in English if you prefer,” I had that happen to me in Seoul 😭😂 I was at a cafe in downtown Seoul and started ordering food for my group in my very broken Korean (basically just above “gawee bawee bo” [pls ignore my awful romanization]). I struggled for a good minute until the barista cut me off, and asked, in a very Los Angeles-coded accent, “So to clarify, you want etc etc etc.” TO CLARIFY. I was so embarrassed, my soul left my body. My Korean was so bad, he was like, “I can’t do this anymore.” 😂😂😂😂

About the languages: the relationship between Korea and Japan is very delicate due to Japan's invasion. For a long time, the Korean language was prohibited, so many Koreans still know basic Japanese because of that, as a result of that period and because Japan has never officially apologized for years of exploitation. Another thing is that Japanese people don't typically learn Korean, partly because of their history as colonizers, so they prefer to speak English with Koreans rather than learning Korean itself.

I got emotional when Jimin talked about his dream of having a daughter !! I hope we can see Jimin in the future with his family that would be so beautiful 😭💜Their interaction are always beautiful, playful, adorable & heartwarming the whole episode was so soothing, calming, hilarious with them. There were continuous banter, insightful/deep conversation, reminiscing of happy BTS past memories. They had to block out that song due to copyright because it's technically not their song. They did a cover with their own lyrics but the actual music isn't theirs. They released a good amount of these types of songs pre-debut (like Beautiful Girl or the Graduation Song that uses the music from Young Wild and Free) and the credits all go to the original artist so they aren't monetized.

Jimin was just less confident that JK hence he spoke less. Namjoon and Hobi are next for me when it comes to fluency with Hobi having the best accent among the 7 closely followed by Taetae who improved so much. He did take his Japanese lessons to heart and he was able to put it to good use during his Layover press. Hobi though sounds almost like a native speaker even with their Japanese songs his enunciation is perfect. Jin and Jimin are the cutest. You can hear their Korean accent. It’s easier to learn the spoken language compared to written especially if you don’t study consistently. They after all use more the spoken skills with interviews and interacting with fans. Kudos to the Tannies for always trying and doing their best to speak English and Japanese 💜

must be the lack of practice. You have to keep using a second (or any foreign) language in order to continuously improve or maintain your fluency. As with anything that lacks practice, language can get rusty! But they still did well in my opinion 💜

Gosh I love Japan! Been there 3 times but can't get enough of it!! It is my favourite place to visit because of the amazing culture and vibes! Food is great, people are great! I haven't been to Sapporo yet but that's because I don't like the cold. However, after watching AYS and JIKOOK having so much fun there, I can't wait to go there now!! :D Only two more episodes left :( so sad it will be over!

Oh they're 100% getting recognized by people. It's just that in Japanese culture people don't ambush stare at celebrities. Japanese people don't even really do that to other regular Japanese folks, much less celebrities. That's why you'll always see BTS hiding their faces less when walking around in Japan than they do in Korea (they might just wear a face mask, maybe a hat/hoodie). You kinda get glimpses of how much regular ppl will ignore them (basically, trying to give them space) on the streets in their Japanese content (although, I'm not sure if you guys have seen too much of them in Japan).

After watching these sapporo episode I would say JK's Japanese is better than Jimins. He was doing most of the speaking. I would say RM, Tae, Jin and JK are the members that speak it the best. RM and Tae being the most fluent. Also knowing how to read and speak a different language is not the same, you may be fluent in a language but that doesn't alway mean you know how to read and write it and vice versa

I might be wrong but I think I saw a video by a Japanese girl saying that RM was the best speaker and then Jimin, J-hope were and JIn, Tae were after them and JK and Suga at the time of the video would often let the other speak but when they did talk it sounded good. However I did see someone else say that Tae seemed to have improved his Japanese when doing solo work.

There were so many inside jokes in the episode 😂 Jikook are such comedians by nature and effortlessly funny, like when JK was smelling the whisky and said " hello- how are you", and when JM said "ma-ah" which is a vid about cat language, and when they said "goooood" and did the robotic dance😂😂 I love them so much and are you sure will always be my happiness and comfort show💜

@6:43 and some other time too, room service was mentioned. Room service isn't always available 24/7, at every hotel, in every city. If they arrived after 11pm, room service was probably over already. After the convenience store visit, it was most definitely over for that night. Also, often at fast-service, sit down restos in Japan, like ramen places, they will have a ticket machine where you buy tickets for each menu item you want. Then you hand all your tickets to the employee and that's how you "order" your food. Say you want to add scallions and an egg to your bowl of ramen, that's 3 tickets, 1 for each item. It's a fun system, but also intimidating if it's only in Japanese.

Sapporo episodes are here. It’s bittersweet because the city is incredible, the food looks amazing and the places they went all look beautiful and so accommodating. However, as you saw them saying, it was filmed two weeks before they had to enlist. You can tell they had a good time there but their sadness on having to stop their idol lives for a while is palpable throughout the 3 episodes in sapporo, especially the last one and especially with Jimin. I’m just glad he has Jungkook with him in the military thanks to the buddy system, that way they can both give each other some sort of comfort until they’re free to be with Army again. This is why I hesitated in rewatching these with CCW. First time was a torture, I wanted to go inside the screen and give them both a hug! My tender hearted babies. But there’s lots of fun moments to see too. Apart from what seems to be the most anticipated activity for CCW, the snowboarding, there’s also tons of precious, hilarious and cute moments left in the next two episodes. Just don’t try to understand whatever weird things they say or do because Jimin and Jungkook are known for watching lots of memes on the internet and like to replicate whatever gets on their feed lol. If you wish to understand the references better there’s a lot of compilations on youtube with most of them. They are that “annoying” (said lovingly) duo in your group of friends who will always have their little inside jokes the rest of their friends don’t get. Silly babies (said lovingly). This was a nice reaction. As usual, CCW gets so excited while watching AYS?! that they talk a lot throughout, it’s cute. But i’m glad you guys have sharp eyes Abby always paying attention to what Jk and Jimin are doing/saying so the rest won’t miss anything lol. I wonder if anyone has requested for them to react to christmas day by Jimin and Jk yet? It would’ve been nice if they had already listened to it before watching this episode. The Japanese 7/11 is so good. I was there last year and love the fresh made spicy citrus chicken. Also the trains are busses are packed like after a NFL football game packed with people. Especially if its a busy time of day. Their security is probably huddled around them.

In Japan, you mostly need cash, most places only take cash, it was terrifying going my first time because I didn't know how much I would be needing lol also, Korea has a bit more of english speakers than Japan, in Japan almost no one speaks english

Many idols including BTS took Nihonggo (Japanese) lessons including written Japanese because of the huge Kpop audience in Japan. They also have to learn for their Japanese albums. The writing is different but familiar to anyone who had taken Japanese, as long as you know the basic characters and that was what Jimin and JK were doing trying to read the name of the ramen house and the outside menu. BTS are not fluent, I don’t think. But I have seen many of their fanmeets in Japan and I can say they are conversational. Their accents are even good! They are able to hold their own with little help from a translator when they have interviews. They will definitely survive if left alone in Japan. They will get by 😅🫶

15:27 Problematic Men was a variety show RM used to be one of the cast members back in 2015. “Problematic Men was a show that featured a group of men participating in problem-solving discussions and brainteasers. RM left the show to join BTS on their Red Bullet world tour” He’s still close to some of the other cast. He hung out with them before leaving for the military. He also went to visit a couple of them during his vacation time during military service. They refer to him as their “maknae” it’s really a sweet relationship they all have.

Convenience stores in Asia specifically Japan and Korea are quite famous for their wide range of products and the type of food you can get there. I have never been but I've seen several Youtube videos and it's crazy. I don't understand how Jimin and JK were filming this so close to their enlistment, I would be stressing so much and not be able to relax so kudos to them. must be the lack of practice. You have to keep using a second (or any foreign) language in order to continuously improve or maintain your fluency. As with anything that lacks practice, language can get rusty! But they still did well in my opinion 💜

The Japanese 7/11 is so good. I was there last year and love the fresh made spicy citrus chicken. Also the trains are busses are packed like after a NFL football game packed with people. Especially if its a busy time of day. Their security is probably huddled around them.

In Japan, you mostly need cash, most places only take cash, it was terrifying going my first time because I didn't know how much I would be needing lol also, Korea has a bit more of english speakers than Japan, in Japan almost no one speaks english

I'm Swedish and let me tell you the snow and the darkness that comes with it is something you get tired of pretty quickly after New Years. Winters in the south aren't as strong or consistent anymore because of climate changes but still it is a challange.
