It's time for HOBIPALOOZA! We know there have been some of you that have been waiting a LONGG time for this one (over 2 years to be exact), and the day has finally arrived. 🎉 We are excited to watch this iconic performance on such an iconic day! We went in to this a little blind as we haven't heard some of these songs before, so it's going to be a fun reaction!
Make some noise for that concert! 👏 What a show! You can really see the heart and soul that J-Hope put in to this concert! This performance was worth the wait.

2024-10-26 06:36:12 +0000 UTCI was there. Truly an unforgettable experience. He was absolutely incredible. There were lyrics to some songs shown, but there were not live subtitles. We just screamed for everything he said 😂. Most of us knew a couple words though. Fortunately, there were also a couple Korean army next to us in the crowd that translated a few parts. Jimin was up above the stage on the left side (there's like a balcony). This performance was so exhilarating I was so exhausted by the end lol (I'd also been there since 3). We actually stayed across the street from the park lolla was at so we had to walk back. Hobi zoomed back to his hotel because before we could make it back to ours he was already live 😂😂😂. I love him. I'll never forget that night.

But I still get goosebumps and tear up everytime I see "Daydream" performed. It's a pretty upbeat and cheerful song, but I just remember when it came out. How we all waited literally a YEAR of Jhope telling us he was working on that mixtape. He was the last of the rappers to drop one. And when it and "Daydream" came out I loved it so much and it was so beyond what anyone had expected. It was less of a traditional mixtape like RM and Agust D had done previously and more of a complete album. I also think it was was of the first times JHope really got to show his full potential as an artist And then "Daydream" or any song off that album never got performed live. RM had done a little showcase and Suga at least performed a couple of his songs during fan meetings. But it really got to the point I never thought I'd see "Daydream" live. But then Jhope got his whole own show! Headlining Lallapalooza!! And not only did he perform it every ARMY screamed every word to that song! Because we waited 5 years for this.You can see just his shock and pure joy while performing it. I've watched this concert a lot, and I think it's so well done and you can truly see all of JHope's passion and talent poured into it. But Daydream is where I tear up everytime

Hobi blew everyone there away, even the "locals" who just came to watch out of curiosity. There were people asking to borrow ARMY bombs because they just thought they were so cool...and even though they weren't using them as a light show. ARMYs just brought them and mostly kept them white. A few comments (I may be repeating others, but there were too many comments to go through all of them right now...lol. 1)

One of the dancers was brought in last minute from LA, to replace a Chicago dancer - she didn't even have 24 hours to learn the choreo. Amazing.

So happy to see you guys enjoyed it, he is an outstanding performer. 💜 Oh one thing, a lot of people think it’s the ‘back of the stage’ you’re seeing people, I believe it’s the tech booth that’s out in the middle. In some overhead shots you can see it compared to the main stage.

2024-10-24 18:11:07 +0000 UTCLollapalooza is a yearly 4 day festival with multiple stages going on at once. Every night there are usually 4 stages of headliners that go on for the final shows & the closest other headliner stage to Hobi for that last night was the Green Day stage. Chicago has a firm 10pm cutoff for the final stages - though the festival itself is held in Grant Park, the music can be heard for miles and there are noise ordinances that are in place. The musicians are advised of this in advance & there are fines for continuing after 10pm Hobi said in a later interview that he could see the ending fireworks show from the Green Day stage and realized he was needing to get his set done ASAP to not go past 10pm, and to some people it may have seemed his exit was rushed, but that is the reason. That is also why he would not be able to come back out and do any type of encore. I'm just so glad he was able to do this and pulled it off splendidly, He also told the band leader, Asaf, that the live band versions he had put together were so good that he was almost sorry he did not have those versions on the album - he did just that when he released the 1st physical album, Jack in the Box Hope Edition, on its 1 year anniversary to include all the songs on the original digital album, but also had the live Lollapalozza versions of Equal Sign, Stop, Future and an instrumental version of More.

For him to pull this off all on his own is so insaneeee. Once you get to the documentary you will notice how much thought and work he put into not only this performance but the whole album. Although watching it without subtitles also has it charms. Daniel, Green Day was playing at the same time as Hobi on another stage, still a lot of people (I'm talking about NOT ARMY ofc) would prefer to watch jhope, maybe curiosity but a lot of people loved what jhope showed. About Becky G, she said "Donde está mi gente latina" that includes you two guys lol.

I've been waiting for Hobipalooza since I subscribed to patreon 2 years ago sadly I cannot view your reaction this week as we were hit by a storm last tuesday and currently living on the street and the power is not yet restored. Our entire house was submerged by flood. Even my precious BTS merch were all gone. 🥲 The water went deep so fast that the only thing I brought was my phone and me and my son hurriedly climb through the roof and wait for the rescuers to come. atleast I have CCW videos to look forward. So Excited for Hobipalooza!

Also, when the crowd was screaming at the beginning and end when it seems like nothing is happening… jimin was seen on the left side of the stage going up the stairs and then down when it was over. You guys should have seen Twitter that night, literally everyone was typing in capslock and keyboard smash it was amazing 😂 My best friend physically went to the show and as soon as it was done she called me, it sounded so chaotic in the bg with everyone trying to leave at the same time. Anyways, since then ive rewatched Hobipalooza so many times and it never gets old ♡ I hope i can be there at the next jhope solo concert 🙏🏾

He’s still the same in both expressing different parts of himself. Hope world is more colourful but if you see the lyrics he’s actually a lil sad. Jack In the box is more hopeful and introspective but with a darker concept. He’s just the same hobi lol.

He drew the largest Lollapallooza crowd in history! 105,000! I was so happy Armys came through and showed up! Hobi was over the moon from all the love! His performance was so powerful. Like our Sunshine exuding dark and fiery power! I loved how Armys knew all the lyrics for his Jack In The Box album which was just recently released that time. And No one other than the Mayor of Chicago introduced him! The crowd was bigger than their largest OT7 USA concert which was on Rose Bowl with 90k. When he finished, all I could think of was “Yes, Hobi did it! His first solo performance milestone!” So proud of him! ❤️ And for those who want to watch, theres English subs on the OG content ♥️

Lollapalooza is a music festival held over 4 days with several acts performing each day throughout the day so there are multiple stages happening at the same time. During Hobi’s set I think Green Day was performing on the other stage.

2024-10-24 14:32:43 +0000 UTCi’m so happy you guys watched and reached to Hobipalooza! i actually got to experience being in that crowd in 2022 for Hobi’s set! it was my first time in Chicago and my first time being at a major music festival. i’ll never ever forget that night and how amazing it was to see so many armys show up for Hobi. this is also why i can’t wait for you guys to watch J-hope’s, (and all of the other members) documentarys— j-hope IN THE BOX and being able to rewatch Hobi’s lolla performance is always just that more special to me because i get to say that i’m technically in both! :,)

I have not been fortunate to attend an OT7 concert (yet!!), so I can't compare it to that, but in my many years of concert going, this was THE BEST CONCERT OF MY LIFE! The crowd, Hobi's performance, everything came together to make this so iconic. We had two weeks from the album drop to the concert to learn the lyrics and we did our best! I remember driving home and my sister was reading comments from Twitter and Reddit from people, non-Army, who were so impressed with his performance, and Army who couldn't be there praising those of us in the crowd for being so loud the whole show. 100,000 people in the crowd for our Hope (Green Day was playing on the opposite side of the festival, btw) and 14 million people watching online! It was a night to remember!

The after-effects of being at Hobipalooza lasted for several weeks. I have enjoyed all the BTS concerts (solos and OT7) I have been to but this hit different for some reason. Maybe it was because this was the first big solo project/performance among the members... combined with my own specific life events at that point in time. Idk, but I am happy to be watching this again with you all.
