In The Soop S1E6

Hola Primos!

Welcome back for another episode of In The Soop! It's Ep 6, Together, And On Their Own. Last time the guys ate sushi and everyone was impressed with Jin and Jungkook's skills. Sushi in the forest, who would have thought. 🤣

Now that we are all caught up, let's jump in.

What an episode today! This one has easily become our favorite episodes of season 1. There is so much happening today which made this such an enjoyable watch. Plus the music was great!

Enjoy today's episode and see you in the comments!

Comments

30:36 i love Jin and Suga so much xDDD suga is so cute

Anny_ lokah

I see one comment saying untrue things about Taehyung, I trust CCW is wise enough to sift through the comments and don't believe everything.

Redg C.

Jimin got an excuse to have Tae and JK a time to speak up their self with each other, what a cool attitude, both of them talking about the distance they had.

Lindy

Should I be normal against solo stans like you? I think you should be normal because of your jealousy towards Taehyung, you were happy and kept your mouth shut during several years of hybe's harassment of this boy. Don't be upset that I will answer you like your dirty nature.

kthv_sbme

pls be normal

moonie εïз

For now, whoever comes to the mental hospital, you are the toxic solo stan and the company Stans of bast**ards, which is ruining your reputation and your dirty company, book your bed soon.

kthv_sbme

is it interesting I thought it was fake or are you Solo Stan who is happy for Taehyung because of this situation? Have you heard the news of hybe vandalism against Taehyung? no You are a bunch of stupid complex people who can't even see someone defending Taehyung because of your jealousy, so don't comment on your stupid opinion, complex, we ARMYs don't consider your opinion about Solo Stan Toxic to be our own. We speak the truth, we are not jealous like you and we do not provide false information. We have big brains, what our brain understands, your rotten brain can't even analyze, we are several years ahead of you intellectually.

kthv_sbme

Awww I love being able to rematch all of these shows with you guys. I love in the soop so much! Excited for ya'll to see the behinds of the the theme song recording too!

Aria

Jk's brother still has an insta! I follow him! He has a clothing brand! his insta is scopxowl

Jéssica Molinari

Thank you! This is what I wanted to write, but fell asleep while watching on Wednesday. And I appreciate VHope cheering Namjoon, shows their maturity. Taehyung discussing Georges Seurat shows why he loves talking to his Namjoon hyung, the love for Western art and music, probably. We often see other members encouraging to talk with a bit of indulgence. Eg. Achasan hike, AYS video call joke.

D

So whenever bts older members talk about younger members they say “yedeul” which means kids ,usually used by parents when referring to their kids but the Eng subtitles just say guys I just wanted to give you this info since it’s soo funny and heartwarming at the same time at 40:50 you can hear jhope here asking about the other guys and using yedeul

Shreya

jungkooks dad is also an amazing artist he was drew jk in 2017 and jk showed it to us and we were mindblown you can find it if you will google it , also jungkook older brother used to post bts illustrations on his Instagram he used to draw the funny moments among the bts members but I think he deleted his Insta now

Shreya

what the heck are you talking about??? Go check yourself in the hospital, troll

Mihaela Afemei

So the painting jk made actually appears to reside with his brother per his bro’s Instagram account.

Lindsay Leonard

I love their bond so much! 💜

Monalisa

All this coming from someone who's frontal lobe claims to be fully developed and u out here whining 😬

𝓔𝓭 ⁷

I’m so excited for you all to start ITS season 2. Because if y’all love the bond now, it’s even stronger in season 2. I really think you all are going to love season 2. I would love to just spend a week with BTS and just see them being their natural selves. Because stuff like this, ITS, is just pure happiness. To see the bond they share up close would be beautiful to see, no matter them fighting or not.

Latonia

During the wood carving, Summer mentioned the Japanese art known as kintsugu. This is where they repair broken pottery or ceramics by piecing together the broken parts. Then where the pieces are joined together, those lines are painted gold and becomes a new piece to use. Speaking of wood carving...I feel like Jin, Suga and Jimin were maybe told to do the wood carving bc they were only playing video games up until that point lol 😄 As a result, we got funny wood carving/axe swinging content 😄 plus the editors didn't have to continue with blurring the computer monitor and tablet 😆

akaV✌🏼

then that's more like wishful thinking.. not facts

YuuChan097_OT7💜

Tkkrs where else 💀

Sima

thank you for all of your kind words. i never meant anything bad, just that a bit of appreciation would have been nice. thank you all

CookieWookie

I know.. I'm not really sure why they thought about it as something "scripted".. like where did they get that information from..???

YuuChan097_OT7💜

Pointillism follows a pretty strict process as well otherwise it falls apart, but the process is difficult and partly based on scientific theory. So what Joon is doing is quite difficult. And you are right, the great thing about Bob Ross’ process and his technique is that everybody is able follow them. Most cases won’t be as great at Jk (probably just a few & he is painting without watching a tutorial), but I remember Jenna Marbles (I know I a, old) crushing her Bob Ross painting.

Laira

Took the words right out of my mouth and put it more beautifully than I could. The difficult part of Joon’s technique, next to great perception, is a great grasp on color, because everything falls apart if the “dots” are just randomly put next to each other. In order for the audience to experience a seamless view, the painter must adhere to the scientific perception of color while painting their picture. I love seeing Seurat and Co “live”, it’s such a great experience. You get lost while gazing at their paintings. So, while JK’s painting is so something I could probably never do, I wouldn’t be able to accomplish what Joon is doing either. I adored the little side conversation between Tae and Joon as well. And while I was laughing at Tae’s art installation, it’s so “him” as well. Creating something unique in the spur of the moment.

Laira

Yesss

echinopsisarmy

you’re projecting

Jeonstastic

Scripted is a strange accusation from ppl.....them being aware of cameras is one thing, but to think a talk like that is scripted is just weird.

C Nichole

Not really. His brother’s name is public knowledge. Try again. 😂

Lizzie

You're talking about 'analyzing' while assuming and projecting your own views. Your language shows just how seriously we should take your opinion. Chill out and stop spreading fake narratives. At your big age, you should know better than to share opinions without respect.

lana

Hi CCW! I just wanna share my opinion regarding the talk between Jungkook and Taehyung. If I'm not mistaken this 1st season of ITS was on 2020, and as someone who literally watched most of the contents specially the Memories - Taehyung was so "empty" in 2020. I don't wanna assume things because I'm not there with him/them.. but it really felt that way for me seeing the difference from the other videos. I don't know what happened behind the scenes but I know things were hard for the members but Taehyung's emptiness was so obvious at some point, that's why Blue & Grey was born. Some say that this talk was scripted but I don't know what to say about that...Regardless, if it's scripted or not...I really love their talk here. I really love their serious talks in In the Soop S1 (Hobi and Namjoon, then Jungkook and Taehyung)..there is still one last talk, I don't wanna spoil it, since you haven't watched it yet, but it's definitely one of my favorites.

YuuChan097_OT7💜

In addition, I talked to Armenians who have intelligence. Do you think I am talking to a 15 or 16-year-old girl like you, whose intellect has not yet developed? I'm talking to armys who have been army for at least 10 years, not new solo stans who don't even have a brain to analyze. So again I suggest you stay and enjoy being a fool

kthv_sbme

I think that the one who is stupid is the one who sees the facts, but has confused herself, so stay in ignorance.

kthv_sbme

U could've said what u wanted w/o using foul words on someone. Do not speak on BTS and do not speak on ARMY. If that's what u think and feel, that's u 🫵 and u alone. Do not try to be their mother.

𝓔𝓭 ⁷

the fact you know his brother’s name is kinda creepy ngl

psa

????

psa

The music on was released in 2020. At first, Taehyung was not like this. Over time, in the same year, he learned something from the company that made him depressed. It's interesting that the Armenians just realized that that fat man is a strange creature. From then on, that fat man started teasing Taehyung. The same fat man ruined the atmosphere of the fandom, the plans of the company changed and BTS is no longer the former BTS, ARMY is not the former ARMY anymore. Actually, the company, with someone who was an accomplice, made BTS stop working for 5 years

kthv_sbme

as an artist who adores impressionism and the abstract, joon's painting is literally my favoriteee!! the colors he chose were so intentional and it comes together so beautifully (': (this isn't to discredit jk's work because he really understands technique and we know that man is unbelievably talented in Everything, but) the bob ross style is used often by beginner painters bc it can't NOT look good

Beth

💜💜💜

minimoni

Everything about this episode is perfect. Loved your reaction!!

nav

Thank you guys, this is one of the most comforting episode for me! Honestly ITS as a whole just soothes me, I love seeing the guys so relaxed! It's still so wild to think about how the guys said they cut like 90% of the footage, lmao!!

DanielleM

Correction, he didn't paint the one in the video, but the staff did ask him to try to recreate that painting. I wonder where JK's version ended up after though

DanielleM

This is what I am looking for. 😍. Thank you for this

Glorevi Abellera

this episode means so much to me, it really seems like it was a turning point for tae's mental health and happiness after the rough time he seemed to be having since the beginning of 2020. he really seemed to draw into himself at the end of 2019/beginning of 2020, even before the pandemic began, so to see him begin to heal his inner wounds and his connections with the members here was such a relief, and from what we've seen, it seems this only got better as time went on :')

imtachki

Haha I don't blame them either, but yes! Namjoon said it was his first time trying painting, but he had a clear vision of what he was making, he was even discussing Seurat with Taehyungie. Pointillism is very hard, but I think he did a great job :)

Sofía Hernández

I love gimbap. I make it with carrots, spinach, pickled radish, fried spam, crab and egg.

justsarah

I don’t blame you guys for your reaction but RM’s was doing just as well as Jungkook. It may be hard to tell because it’s a less straightforward process but the technique RM was doing, Pointillism, is actually very difficult, time consuming and meticulous. And he does it really well too. Jhope wasn’t pity RM, he was being fr when he said it’s just as good, y’all missed it but right before RM and V were discussing the history and beauty of Pointillism. People always go crazy over Jungkooks painting and just think RM is “ trying his best”.

I’m Tired

When you were talking about Davinci at the end - RM even said that in the ep. "He could be a great scholar if he tried it."

katie

I love my art boys- RM and Tae- talking about pointillism because it’s one of my favorite art movements. They mention George Seurat’s painting, Sunday Afternoon, which is probably the most famous piece of pointillism that you’d recognize (though most people don’t even realize it was painted in this style because it’s so seamless). The first time I watched ITS when he started painting this canvas, I was like “OF COURSE!” To me, this style fits RM so well because it’s characterized by combining a sensitivity to your surroundings with a curiosity of the science of color theory. RM, with his analytical genius brain and his poetic soul- it made me so happy Tae picked up on what he was doing.

Ali

Ohhh yess! I rewatched episode one of ITS 2 last week and firstly I CANNOT wait for CCW to start that season of ITS! It is pure gold but yes the timestamp are so helpful!

BZ

True!!! So glad they are still sharing their thoughts with us!

BZ

"how is JK good at everything" abby speaking what's on army AND bts' minds 24/7 😆

Seneca

I assure you they weren't mocking him, they're treating RM as they would a friend. Friends jokingly tease each other all the time, and it was just a natural reaction. No bad intentions. In the same way when Abby makes mistakes in Spanish– CCW aren't "pitying" her, they're just teasing if anything. Have you seen the Run episodes where the members draw (like EP #143), and often times the members tease each other's drawings? They're not being mean, don't worry, it's not that serious.

Seneca

this episode was such a relaxing one to watch after a long day also its always comforting to watch it with you guys, loved it!!!

kittygangxo

They weren't mocking him they were just laughing at the situation because that's how a lot of people feel would feel about themselves. I've been in similar situations, you feel great about your work but someone also very talented doing great by your side. They even said how those kinds of paintings look good from afar because of the dots. I just think sometimes we fans read into situations a bit too far. Also you delivered your thoughts in a respectful manner so don't worry.

Yodit Yohannes

bob ross is internationally famous n jungkook grew up liking art so it makes sense that he knows him :) this was such a fun episode and reaction, thank you!

ash

BTS make me feel like I have no talent lol 😂😰 they inspire me to do better and to learn new skills! I agree with you there Summer, this is also my favourite episode of ITS 1 💗

BZ

Grown men btw

Jeonstastic

ahh i love in the soop so much :(( it's always such a comfort to watch. thank you for another reaction! cant wait to watch the rest of the show with you all :]]

liz

😂 😂

CCW

If you can’t read at night read you should try reading just after you’ve had breakfast feels like you accomplished something before your day starts if you graft out the time for it. I think it good to read either early in the morning to start your day and if you’re a night owl who can’t get to sleep easy read before you go to bed instead of being on your phone or reading in a nice temperature bath is always a cozy vibe especially in the winter months. Though not everyone enjoys readings I haven’t read in ages need to start putting reading back into my schedule tbh.

Tia Farleigh

Its just because in Korean the Gs and the Ks are used as the same letter, the same happens with the romanized version of Yoongi, in early content you sometimes could see the subtitles as Yoonki (remember the lighter in the BU content...) at the end of the day is just preference. JK just probably decided his stage name to be Jung Kook so it will be easier for people to say or remember.

C

idk lol. I’ve always just spelled it that way I guess. I know most people know Jungkook but I can’t see 정국 and not spell Jeongguk. 😅

Lizzie

I am SO excited for y'all to get to episode 8.

Lizzie

Btw, the song playing at the end was Come So Far by Carmen Bradford and Sully Burton. In case you were wondering. 😅 https://open.spotify.com/track/12AFtgLHb2PARbYKaIW0Wo?si=16b31b72bf2140a6

Lizzie

Why Jeongguk though ? I know that romanized orthograph is arbitrary but my eyes can't compute Jeongguk as our Jungkookie haha 😂

Sarcaamstic

Don’t feel bad! I don’t think that was intentional, it was a natural reaction to something so extraordinary! We all know JK is amazing to whatever he does but that doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate and compliment the other members’ talents that are also amazing!

APOBANGPO7

This is still one of my fav episodes of ITS season 1. I truly love all of their bonds but Jinkook and Taekook are my favourite subunits. If you ever watches JK's brother posting on IG you might have seen the picture JK draw in this episode hanging in his brothers house. JK is truly blessed with talent.

SuSe 0110

Agree with Summer, one of the top episodes though each one is unique. That woodcarving session is so hilarious - they were all having a hard time with it, poor guys!

Keren Metz

He really has good understanding of things. He’s very smart!

APOBANGPO7

Oh, I agree 100%. I'll be anticipating when the show gets on CCW's schedule.

Keren Metz

I'm pretty sure Junghyun (Jeongguk's brother) has the painting he did! At least the last photo we have of it is at his brother's place! Also, I wish they'd release the ost for ITS cause the music played while they were painting is so relaxing and I often wish to just listen to it outside of the show.

Lizzie

please dont mock rm. jk is a genius, he is so good at everything he do. but that doesnt make rm bad, he was doing something with focus, the best of what he can do. it felt like you were just pitying him.please dont do that if you can. he himself was complimenting jk, he is always proud of him. lets appreciate him for what he does, it would be great to do that.oh,please dont think i am being toxic or something, i just felt bad ,thats it.

CookieWookie

I really enjoyed this episode, tannies relationship is a comfort to me. As a person who likes to paint I was so impressed with Namjoon! I tried doing that kind of painting in the past and I gave up haha. And JK's art was stunning, his control and understanding of the shades & colors in general is immaculute, I wish to achieve his level someday.

Nallie

Just wanted to say how glad I am that you left your random convos in here!!

lis

No matter how much I watch this, that jungkook painting still amazes me everytime

Anne

that taekook moment 😔😔💜 love their friendship sm

wen

This is such a nice episode, it's super packed with activities and wholesome moments💜 Unrelated, but Summer looks so pretty with her hair done up🥰

Sofía Hernández

I love In the Soop, especially the first season (although I also love the second one - this one is just super special). RE: Jung Kook's painting - what I think is that he just has extraordinary control over his entire body, up to and including his hand/eye coordination. It's really just amazing to see. And SO rare, for one person to have that much control to the point that with a little work they excel at everything they try.

Lisa

The discussion between taekook always resonates with me. As you get older, even the friends you were once the closest to might start to feel a bit distant bc your personal lives takes over, your interests and schedules might not always align, and time just feels like it slips through our fingers (like how is it almost November when it was just August a couple of weeks ago??). I’m glad they had a chance to chat openly about the changes in their relationship as they’ve aged and it seems like they really did grow closer again afterwards. I also love how Jimin was asked to play the middleman to lure and escort Jungkook out bc why are they so dramatic 😂 then Jinmin playing nearby like nosy neighbors — I just love them all so much lol Jungkook really hit the jackpot of good DNA 🥲 that painting always blows my mind

Ceejayhey

random but one small good thing about in the soop season 2 is they give you timestamps throughout the day so you have an idea of what time it is!

rkive

A very healing episode !! So glad you guys enjoyed it ♡

Ashlee

This is also my favorite episode with episode 8 a close second! It was fun seeing them doing things with each other like either in pairs or threes. And of course that awesome painting by Jungkook 💜🫠 Can you please vlog your painting challenge? 😃💜

CJ

well he said ‘did they replace it’ in the other reaction but same thing loll

sabreen

i feel like daniel w my memory right now

sabreen

yall im crying when they saw that jungkook painting in the ‘jungkook the golden maknae’ reaction gabriel said the same thing ‘did they swap it out’ 😭😭😭

sabreen

Yes, Jinny's Kitchen! You will hear Tae speak Spanish here.

Yeontae

I hope you guys can check out Jinny's Kitchen someday. Tae's worked in a restaurant with 2 of his friends and 2 more celebrities in Mexico. Gimbap is one of their menu. And there's In The Soop Friendcation as well, however Tae and his friends only in that show.

Miz Ann

They are always on the same wavelength in terms of music and art. They get each other.

Yeontae

At 1:16:49 I love how Tae compliments Namjoon’s painting and encourages his hyung💜

AY

this jk👑👑👑

sarha 3998

aww tae and jungkook's conversation i love their friendship it's so lovelyyy i'm so glad they had time to do that heart to heart talk, I think during this period of the pandemic they became so much closer, we've seen them spend a lot of time together during ch 2 and we recently found out from tae that JK flew to Hawaii just to hang out with taehyung after he told him he was there and missed JK 🥹 i just love all the different dynamics they all have with each other, it's so heartwarming 💜

Karla

In this case it was more about the age gap. For instance Daniel watched Bob Ross as a kid but Abby didn’t, there’s a 10 yr age gap there.

CCW

Gimbab is basically a picnic food in korea so it may seem like a lot for us, for them it’s just ‘like sandwiches’.

💜

Thanks for the reaction CCW I really enjoyed rewatching with you this episode

mimicha122

I love all the lovely YoonJin moments in In The Soop. Sometimes you do forget that Jin is Yoongi's only hyung in the group and I love watching Yoongi revert to dongsaeng mode with Jin. 🤣

Lizzie

The music hobi and tae were listening to while dancing is a duo called Surfaces (and they're from Texas!) and I fell in love with their music because of this episode and have pretty much all their songs saved on my Spotify, they're so good! And they thanked BTS on Twitter for listening ☺️

Amanda P

Soooo fun 💜

Chalce Eze

I love how BTS will always give the same reaction to what Jungkook does. They could see Jungkook paint everyday for 12 years and still be amazed every single time.

Amina Sultanova

Resistance: Avalon wasn't the game they were playing on the computer. Rumor has it that game was Teamfight Tactics by Riot Games. They WILL play resistance: avalon, but that is not the game on the computer. 😅

Lizzie

All members have at times gone through tough times at different points in their carers which they have talked about. With Tae you could clearly see something was going on in 2020 esp. during the spring and early summer. You might even notice it during the RUN Bts eps. when you get to the eps. that was filmed during that time.

Yodit Yohannes

pausing for a quick share. we went on a trip up a mountain with an overlook and !surprise! it was a terrifying cliff very easy for our toddler to fall off of. since we would be returning and probably run into similar things, we went to the dollar store and purchased a few dog collars and leashes and fashioned one of those things where ur kid is on a leash. i've joked about that before but for real, it was a huge relief.

Randi

It’s weird to me when people say things like “I’m surprised he knows bob ross” just because he isn’t American. We grew up knowing Asian people and that wasn’t weird. Example: Jackie Chan. It would actually be weird to not know him but he isn’t western or American

Jordan Abernathy

Love this episode and all the bonding the guys did. Tae needed a big hug that time and I’m so glad that now he seems healthier and happier 💜 also Jungkook’s talents are unlimited. If you get to know him you will understand that he is a fast learner and very curious about life and his potentials, he tries everything he thinks of and that’s so inspiring!

APOBANGPO7

One of the best episodes in season 1!!! So many great friendship moments throughout the whole episode!! I especially love how Tae’s emotional healing is visible in this episode as he has more and more intimate moments with each member and moments on his own! & JK’s painting is INSANE!! 💜💜

Annmarie

They knew about jungkook's painting skills, it's just been so long since they did activities like this.

Kearyce Moore

Remember the painting of the boy in jungkook's begin video, he painted that💜

Kearyce Moore

Oh JK was extremely shy. To the point where if you asked him to sing he would burst into tears. BandPD was scared that this shyness would lead to him not debuting under BTS. Therefore he sent JK to USA to master his craft & gain some confidence

Isha

This is still one of my favorite episodes til this day

Kearyce Moore

jungkook is literally a prodigy, so when you said “they randomly discover a new talent of his” it so true! although he’s an amazing drawer and artist, he has some insane works from the past as well

Tyler

Everytime you guys update i get so happyy idk whyy lol

Cecetaaaa

Oh boy am I early lol. Can’t wait to watch I feel like I’ve been waiting forever

Chris

It's so cool to see how comfortable you guys already are with them, knowing them even when not seeing their faces.. and knowing their personality, their likes... So happy to be a small part of this journey, CCW. I love you guys. 💜💜 (Summer looks so happy this week! love it)

Thaciany Cabral

Yaayyy love this episode 🎉 Namkook,Taekook and VHOPE moments 🥹💜💜
