you guys’ ickiness for seafood opened my eyes! as an Asian whose diet is hugely dependent on seafood and squid etc (even handling raw seafood like what bts does) is totally normal in our wet markets and in our dishes, i didn’t realise it might be less common in the US (or maybe just in the area where you’re from?) — pretty fascinating that there are times you guys don’t recognise some seafood or feel grossed out. sorry, not judging! surely there are US food i don’t know either. and we have our version of mojarra here too! my mom eats everything including the eyes lol. but yeah just a bit eye opening for me cause it’s really really normal in Asia! 😄

If you guys remember the book that Yongi used to read titled ALMOND, I think that's his inspiration of his song AMYGDALA and he wrote that song during that time. He learned about Amygdala in that book and made it as his song title. It's amazing to know how many songs he made during ITS 1. If I remember correctly, he wrote Telepathy during In The Soop 1 as well.

Thats what second watches are for, and part of watching a thing with ur friends. And its fun to later discover the part you missed. I watch bts content alone usually, so i can basically pause every two seconds or keep backing up and rewatching. Ya’all seen the ringcam clip of that elderly couple going onto a porch where a full sized live bear is standing like 6 feet away, and they dont notice? The man is facing the bear while locking the door for at least a whole minute and they never see it. Its me, lol. Thats about how my situational awareness is.

Love this episode, the sheer fun they have together without a schedule. The impromptu cooking and the wonderful meals they turn out. Pajeon being one of my favourite Korean foods, whether it is a seafood one, Kimchi or green onions, love it. Makgeolli as people have mentioned is rice wine and when it is distilled it becomes soju. Jin makes in his 4 part episode of The Drunken truth. Well worth a watch even if you don’t have time to review it. Jin is on a Korean variety show called ‘Half star hotel on lost island and it’s amazing. They forage for food like Abolone, conch sea cucumbers etc and cook some amazing dishes. There is a chef and his son that Jin is good friends with, but the amazing thing is Jin will blow your mind with how well he cooks. They eat a lot of fish and seafood raw as well. Looking forward to the next one. 💜💜💜💜

University closed. Just didn't know what to do. Was beating myself up for god knows what reason. After I saw this episode. And heard Jin say it so casually "SO HE FLINGS IT". Abby, the drink is "makgeolli". It is a white, milky, rice wine drink with lower alcohol content. Koreans typically drink it from a bowl. It was featured on Jin's Suchwita episode. The ones they sell in the States are pasteurized but typically it is not. If you have an Hmart in Dallas, they sell it there.

A profound life lesson from Jin’s “Then he flings it.” Trying things and taking risks, but allowing yourself to make mistakes and even to fail. That’s how we learn anyways. What matters is we tried and did our best. I love Jin for his mindset. And how he was such an older brother to Taehyung here giving Tae the chance to try something he wanted. It was simply flipping a panjeon but it spoke of encouragement and support. This is my most favorite part of ITS1. The book Suga was reading was “Almond”, a Korean bestseller. This novel was one of Suga’s inspiration to write “Amygdala”. The amygdala is shaped like an almond. It is the part of the brain that is associated with how the mind handles past trauma. In the novel, Almond, the mother encourages the child to eat almonds believing it will help for the lack of a working amygdala. That’s why in the Amygdala music video, you can see Suga eating almonds, “to encourage the amygdala to work for him”. One of my fav eps!! Its so cool seeing how the theme song spontaneously came to be 🔥 The boys always feel like a little family but you see it even more in this episode, especially since it was raining outside so they had no choice but to all be in doors ^^ so precious!! Can't wait for next week 🙌🏾

A few things lve learned by watching these guys is Koreans don't mind the rain and enjoy it..also when they aren't on a schedule they sleep in especially the youngsters..they stay up late and sleep usually til 12 or 1. Also they rarely make a breakfast as we know it. Their breakfast is lunch . And l've hardly see them eat dessert unless it's a bday cake and even then they barely take a bite..as you can see why they are so slender. I wish l didn't like sweets..lol that's my downfall.
