Exciting morning around here. It's time for the PREMIERE of In The Soop! It's S1E1, Excited to Begin.
First episode and it feels like anything goes at the Bukhan River! After picking their rooms and separating groceries the guys are off for some fun activities. This episode goes by fast and feels like it is going to be an easy watch. Excited to see how things progress over the next 4 days.

It is my sister’s and mother’s favorite. When my mother was in home hospice and became disoriented, she sang “Soop, Soop, Soop” with us when we wanted her to smile. I miss her. This show has healed me so many times over 💜

2024-08-08 11:11:12 +0000 UTCthe way i got it from yoongi's and tae's suchwita episode when they said 90% was cut -- in the context tae was saying he doesn't want cameras when they go to see aurora, because they won't be able to totally relax and be themselves, he said "we will have to do something", meaning they'll have to be entertaining for the sake of the content. then yoongi says "no we won't, remember in the soop. 90% was cut", meaning they didn't have to do anything for the cameras and were just chilling, so 90% was "boring" stuff. also i imagine they record the whole day and they have to cut a lot to make an hour long episode, so they probably only keep the most interesting parts, but still the pacing was very chill and relaxed, which me and a lot of armys liked so much

When he helped JK with his lyrics, it made me realize how comforting it must be for the members to have someone like him to lean on. Jimin being the only one to reach the toll ticket dispenser is a little vindication for something that happens in a later Run episode. lol. He looked like such a time traveler next to the others. It’s been awhile since I have rewatched this (waiting to do it with you guys), and I had forgotten how hilarious Jin was during all of ITS. He is such a mood. Namjoon-ah, did you know I am a ping pong master?!? 😂 Hobi’s excitement to recreate building a plane like he did as a child is the MOST PRECIOUS thing. I love how he throws himself into everything 1000%. Yoongi immediately calling dibs on the camper van. I knew he would do that. He looks so laid back and without a care in this-unassuming. I forgot this is the same guy who blew my mind with the Daechwita mv. Kookie performing the sniff test on his room. He’s such an endearing oddball. It cracks me up how he’s *always* surprised by how much food they can eat, when we know he is one of the members with the best appetite. The peak domesticity of Tae washing dishes. That he has a whole set of rules for how he washes them is adorable. And I forgot how obsessed I am with his hair during ITS. He’s so beautiful, I want to weep. There is something inexplicably comforting about this series- it probably is partly because it provides a sense of normalcy through the Tannies’ lives during a period most of us were living in a most abnormal manner. And they’re just genuinely good people who genuinely enjoy spending time together. I’m looking forward to seeing CCW fall in love with it like the rest of ARMY.

Which is a shame giving the fact that every question you ask is later explained in the brackets of the subtitles. PLEASE take your time to read the subtitles carefully. Countries like South Korea and Japan don't play with the way they sort out their trash ( in Japan it's even harder ) but it's mostly like this : - a trash bag for plastics, - Food waste - Bottles & Cans etc...

Musical Context - As another commenter mentioned, they filmed this in late May/early June 2020. At that point, (1) their Seoul concerts had been cancelled and the rest of the tour postponed; (2) Tae was working with NIve on songs for his mixtape, including Blue & Grey; (3) IU & Suga had released Eight at the beginning of the month; and (4) Suga had just released his mixtape D2 (and started work on what would become D-Day). Additionally, the members had started working on a new album (BE) to chronicle their feelings during the time, with Jimin acting as Project Manager. - The song that JK and RM were discussing in the car was Still With You, which would be released as Jungkook's Festa gift to us in early June 2020. I don't think you've listened to the full song yet, but you heard JK's isolated vocals when you listened to Proof Disc 3. Sponsorships: At this time, BTS were spokesmodels for several brands that appear in the series. - As you noticed, they have Hyundai vehicles to get around. - The Fila sweatsuits that they're wearing at the beginning of the episode will actually appear later on in Run BTS (they filmed a bunch that day). - The house is stocked with Chilsung Cider, which looks (and I think tastes?) a lot like Sprite. - Once again, Hello Nature provided groceries for the trip. - The houses have several Samsung appliances, but I'm not sure if those were already there or brought in for the show, lol. - Once brand that did not sponsor anything for the series is Lego, so every time the guys use that name it's censored with a little bird whistle and translated as "blocks" in the subtitles. Last Note: A shorter version of In the Soop was broadcast on Korean television (specifically JTBC, lol), with the extended version available on Weverse. For this reason, you may see Jimin's and JK's tattoos blurred at some times but not others. The scenes with blurred tattoos were part of the television broadcast and therefore produced in accordance with those rules. The Weverse-exclusive footage is not blurred.

It was made famous by the movie Parasite, where they topped it with rib-eye (to accentuate the difference in class between the 2 families in the movie) I have made it many times - it's yummy with or without the fancy steak on top. The dish is also called Ramdon, which is a portmanteau of ramen & udon

So it was just a couple of months after everything started to get shut down. Their tour had been postponed by this point but they wouldn’t officially cancel it until around the time they filmed In the Soop Season 2.

My dad's family has a good genetics for the mosquitos to bite. Me and my sister both have it. My mom doesn't feel A THING. My nephew and niece both got that genetics too. My mom side is a mix of some good for mosquitos, some not, but most of them are not good for mosquitos.

No discipline from the military either as he is doing a social service and therefore will only be disciplined if he does something wrong during work hours. The rest of their time is there own.
