Comments

Liz

Time stamp? How did I miss this?

Isha

This episode is fun cause they forgot to censor Joon saying "ah ssibal" after he failed the make sentence game. 😆😆

Liz

Your chronological journey is really paying off!

Tricia Le

Hello. I am loving your reactions. I was just wondering are you going to react to the behind the scenes of Run BTS?

Neha Neeraj

i agree 100%, becoming familiar with the alphabet and basic language structure makes these games so much more entertaining. i found it to be pretty easy to memorize.

moonie εïз

Hello, love to see reaction episode 150 💜

Abigail

So a lot of their punishments appear in run BTS behind the scenes so you might miss them so you can just watch a compilation video of their punishments on YT

Shreya

Jin the king of Hali Gali, yet to be beaten by any of the boys. That’s why Yoongi always states that he studied it at Konkuk university. ( Where Jin got his degree in Film and art from). Yoongi being sassy, J Hopes excitement, Jungkook managing to get third spot without Jin showing favouritism for a change. Namjoon proving that a high IQ means nothing in these games. Jimin as always trying hard and happy as long as he is not last. V in a game that he can’t curry favour from the producers for answers. They all have their quirks in games as you will see. Jin is known as the king of BTS run as he has won so many. He loves to win but it does not phase him to loose. There some incredible run’s ahead for you that you will love. Thanks for the review, even though I have watched them several times it is great to watch them with someone new and see their reactions. 💜💜💜💜

Yes, the Korean writing system is so logical! Knowing the basic sounds is already gonna get you pretty far, you don't need to know all the batchim or consonant assimilation rules to be able to read/write some words! It's cool :)

What's coming next week?!?!

YoYo

Yes, as someone mentioned - there's two number systems in Korea. The one they were saying was Sino-Korean, and they kept counting to 10 as 1 (il), 2 (i or ee), 3 (sam), 4 (sa), 5 (o), 6 (yuk), 7 (chil), 8 (pal), 9 (gu) and 10 (sip). When you typically hear them say 1, 2, 3 as hana duhl set, it is in Native Korean, and those remaining numbers (to 10) would be 4 (net), 5 (dausut), 6 (yeosut), 7 (ilgup), 8 (yeodul), 9 (ah-hope) and 10 (yul).

Chanelle

Wow looooooooooved this reaction (but i love all of them ngl). And i wanna thank Gabriel for teasing about "Mindhunters". I am binging and loving it!

Catarina

i love that yall were trying to learn the numbers lol i can only ever remember that 3 is sam bc samsung means 3 stars or smth like that

Brit

I know this is completely irrelevant to the video but IU just started her tour and in one of the clips from her concert there is kinda an alternative ending from Love Wins All where they have a happy ending . I could be totally wrong but that is exactly what the clip looks like someone please correct me if I am wrong

Learning to read/sound out Korean is surprisingly easy (now UNDERSTANDING is a different beast, haha). But their written language is very similar to English in that you’re just sounding out letters once you know the alphabet. I can read at like a little kid’s level, I just don’t know some special rules (just like how in English we have special rules like “ph” makes an “F” sound etc). Even knowing the basics is enough to get by watching these Run games haha. Pretty cool!

Seneca

i think BTS made a board game you can buy, or is it not for this game? they also just yesterday made a learn english with BTS book they made plenty of those, along with a recipe book for all the run BTS episodes.

It’s so cool to rewatch this after watching Jin play with Youngji because now I notice how he only hits the bell with the hand he has on his ear! He was telling her that’s how he and his friends played. Plus it would make it harder to get to the bell because it’s farther away from it. I really wanna play it with a group of friends someday!💜

DanielleM

Just finished work, I’m soo excited to watch todays videoooo

Daniel and Abby [confused and conversing logistics] Summer [over it and wants to start the video, presses play] Gabriel [no thoughts, head empty]: manhi manhi mANHI IM DEAD, the dynamics of ccw in five seconds

Maya

Yeah I feel like some of the things is not translated well I’m confused as well haha

The consonant game doesn't work as well in English as it does in Korean just because of how the language is structured but basically the production team give them two random consonants and they had to come up with a few two-syllable words that start with the consonants respectively (eg. S & T, SysTem, SisTer, SusTain, etc.) Also have to mention, not just for CCW but for anyone who's even a little bit curious: i highly, highly, highly recommend learning how to read Korean or even glancing at how the language is structured. I know it sounds intimidating but the language is made up of 24 basic letters and there are just 9 ''block'' types. Just having an idea of how the language works made all of these word/letter games SO much easier to follow along with and just added a new level of appreciation to it all. It's a fascinating language and writing system!

Great reaction as always. Thankfully, watching CCW chow down on rice cakes does not have the same effect as seeing the BTS members eat Korean cuisine. Is there even a way to make rice cakes enticing? That ya’ll are learning to make sure you’re not hungry before certain BTS content is hilarious. A lot of us have learned the exact same lesson. The members breaking out singing little snippets of their songs each time one is mentioned is one of my favorite parts of this episode. Sassy, irritated Yoongi is another gem. This RUN has one of my favorite Bangtan game habits (Yoongi especially does this)- blatantly and unapologetically using the most nonsensical arguments to convince the other members or the producers to block one of them from getting a point. It’s not about whether the argument is fair or makes sense- it’s about whether you can get enough people to agree with you. You will find out ALL of the member have different little tactics they’ll employ in these games to get their way and I had to learn to not care about who “fairly” should have won and just enjoy the ride. The episodes with games where rules change on whims or filled with tricks and deception are usually the most hilarious and chaotic.

Ali

It's the same in Japanese, they count differently depending on the things they count

Nira

Winning on Run BTS is Jin's super power, and he is always funny doing it.

Lisa M T

LoriG

Jeon Selim

Sara Pak

Thanks for the reaction ccw! Always hoping you guys can add Run Behind to your reactions to Run BTS episodes 🙏

Rokm_

Only suggestion l have is to stop the screen and one of you read the rules it's very confusing when it goes so fast and a few of you are reading a few words not the whole rule.

Alice Smith

For context with the numbers (a very basic explanation): There are two counting systems in Korea, the Native Korean and the Sino-Korean systems. Native Korean is what you know with hana, dul, set. This system is used to count hour time (o'clock: 4 o'clock), age, and counting things (4 pigs, 1 apple, etc). Native Korean is also usually used for numbers under 99. Sino-Korean one two three is il, i (pronounced ee), sam. Sino-Korean is used for numbers over 100, and kind of everything else : seconds/minutes/hours (30 seconds, 5 minutes), dates, phone numbers, addresses, currency amount, temperature, measurement, etc. Again, I'm not fluent in Korean so this is just my basic understanding!

lis
