We are continuing our journey of BTS' discography with Dark & Wild.
Of the 14 songs on this album, we hadn't heard TWELVE. So as you can see come the length of the video, it is a jam packed reaction.
Like last time, PART ONE of this video is already edited. PART TWO & PART THREE will be more of a raw reaction since it takes XEN 4-5 days to edit a video this long. Most of you seemed to want the full video before the edit was complete. Be sure to check out Parts 2 and 3 on youtube to give Xen (and the algorithm) a little love.

Every time I listen to this album as a whole in order, I picture everything like the Red Bullet tour. I know Cypher pt 3 won the poll which I voted for too, but I can't wait for you to see Let Me Know live. Blanket Kick is another live to watch too someday soon. I know there's the dance practice but an actual concert version is even better if you can find it nowadays.

Not only that taken away your eyes off the screen missed a line & forgot what you heard/wrote. Also for us, some songs we might not listened as much as their title songs & totally forgot the lyrics/music, it's harder to follow which part/line you referred to after 3-4 songs. I enjoy hearing something you guys picked up that I never noticed :)

BUT a fun fact– I've watched hip hop enthusiast reactors react to Hip Hop Lover, and they freak out bc apparently there are a lot of hip hop lyrical easter eggs/throwbacks throughout the track. In those live videos, the camera focuses on Jimin at that moment because he is the head voice of that note, and if you watch the same live video but a fancam JungKook focus, you'll notice that he's the back voice of that moment at the end... A lot of the translations were pretty bad, credited wrong members, included shady channels that just put the songs through google translate etc, there are so much better ones out there so I'm just wondering.

2024-01-16 21:54:59 +0000 UTCyeah i though so too but that's who the lyric video creator gives translation creds to 😭 the lyric vid creator could've also pulled from multiple sources and gotten lazy with the credits or doolset could've also edited the lyrics on their site after the lyric vid was made? but yes, the actual lyrics on the site are 100 times better and more reliable. i think lots of reactors turn to color coded lyrics so they can follow who's singing and also it's easier than scrolling through lyrics manually since it can be hard to follow where they are as they don't read korean but oh well lol

BTS, especially in their earlier albums, would often record the studio version of songs one way but make changes regarding who did what part for the live performances. It’s happened with countless songs (eg., Just One Day, Spring Day, Dope, etc.).

I love the metaphors using musical notations lyrically (especially Suga comparing being stuck in the relationship like being stuck between repeat signs waiting for the ending bar), and V's low tone is just *perfect* for this song, and Jimin's high note is even more divine live. And yes, it is definitely Jimin doing that high note.

2024-01-16 20:08:55 +0000 UTCto answer summer's question about the *'s, these lyrics are copied straight from doolset and there the *'s mean there's a note attached to that lyric. there's a lot of wordplay and other references in their lyrics, especially the cypher, so there're notes for each one of them. definitely recommend checking them out, they always give great context!

Every time it was performed live, it was always Jimin singing the high note (and it is exquisite). Besides the Look Here snippet from Festa 2021, you’ve heard some of these songs on Burn the Stage. That’s why they seemed familiar.

You'll think its hard to sing it live coz it has so much harmonies but they slayed it and they were way younger at their very first tour.... Also, I'm sorry people give you a hard time over details while you give so much content and high quality (like, you four are adorable)... I love Suga's evil laugh and I think it encapsulates well the tone of cypher pt.2 but it's also understandable that you already have so much on your plate when you do an album reaction you can't catch everything ^^ For let me know, it sounds to me more like Jk on the studio version but it's Jimin who does it live. You should check it out one day, they always performed it pouring in their feels. In his vers RM talks about that ache, deep in the stomach, a heartache your body doesn't know what to do with, which is to me what they emulate in their performance.

I personally prefer hearing your thoughts right after the song while it’s still in your head, but you do whatever you prefer. J-Hope’s flow switch during his second grade verse is still one of my fav things ever. And I’m never getting over Suga’s Cypher Pt. 3 verse, the bisexual energy is strong 😆 If you’re going chronologically, next up is RM’s self-titled first mixtape! Which is super underrated, a surprising amount of army don’t even know it exists which is sad since it’s sooo good. If you’re doing all group albums first and saving solo work for the end that’s understandable too - looking forward to RM or HYYH Pt 1, whichever you end up doing.
