Valentine Skuttz Redraw - 2014 vs 2025
Added 2025-02-20 18:15:30 +0000 UTCI don't usually get to do redraws for my own art, as much as its been something I've attempted a few times.
While I'm not huge on the holiday, the aesthetic of Valentines day has always been very Skuttz. This is one of the first art pieces I made of her way back when and its been really cool to reflect.
I'd quit drawing after entering the workforce after high school, and when I bumped into the MLP fandom it reignited my passion for art again. I loved the fun colorful horses and the marshmallow hooves were perfect for a rusty artist avoiding hands.
Now I've progressed so much in my anatomy and skills. Skuttz's design has evolved so far from its first stages too! I might still do a quick alt with wings for her. But look, I'm drawing hands, thighs, and rolls and SQUISH.
No matter which part of the journey you joined in on, thanks for being a part of it! Its so cool to take a moment and see how far I've come since the start.
I think 2025 is the year I move more towards a full digital paint style >:3c

This turned out really incredible. You've really evolved your art and style and found your own, and the way you illustrate even the smallest details and subtleties are incredible. You've brought such life to her body shape and she feels so real, and I'm seriously in love with both the hairstyle and the gorgeous feathering of the hooves!
