How have you been?
So here is just something I worked on to relieve stress. I haven't been doing very well lately, and drawing helps me cope with a lot of things.
As I told you guys before, I have concepts for many animatics (although I rarely get to work on any of them!) and this one would be for Adam Lambert's Ghost Town
I'm especially attached to this story, which much like Shut Eye, follows Steban during his lonesome years. Unfortunately, even though it doesn't spoil No North itself, this animatic would reveal much about his character and what's to come. But I've been seriously considering doing it anyway. You guys get to see the backstage, after all!
Steban faced a very dark phase after he left Oddwind, spiralling into loneliness and guilt because of *spoileeers*
The animatic features a series of nightmares involving his worst fears: finding out Oddwind is now a ghost town, and that he took too long to come back. But are they just dreams, or is there something much darker lurking around him?
These four concepts cover only the first part of the song, right before the chorus hits. Then it gets pretty awesome and the colours go wild. I might do the other parts, or even the complete animatic someday.

I find that drawing is a cure to my own stress too. A couple of years back, I drew so much to help me cope with work-related stress. It is awesome to see you draw as awesomely as you do, whilst coping with stressful times. You have my support and love. Keep rockin'

And so many people know you for the Shut Eye one, I think they are just as important as your regular art and animatics. Sorry you are going through tough times, my heart is with you. Your art is amazing and cannot be duplicated (even by the many who try to use your style) and I value it all even if I don't comment or thumbs up it for whatever reason, I still see it. Keep being you!

2019-08-21 15:25:42 +0000 UTCSorry to hear you are not doing to well, stress can be a horrible thing to get you down (I should know, of all places im actually typing this from a hospital bed right now so im quite worked up too, stress wore out my body!) Its great that you have found a form of stress relief in drawing and while im sure we all would love many more spoilers don't feel compelled to reveal too much story. Another animatic would be an awesome idea though, could be another massive success on youtube like Shut Eye, if you need to do this as a side step to take a much deserved break im sure we would all support you in what ever way we could. At the very least look at the massive success of the Beyond The Woods campaign, it very quickly surpassed your goal and then some! There is a lot of love out there for you and your amazing work, should be very proud of what you have achieved. Keep up the amazing work, if there is anything we can all help you with from your patreon family let us know, we love seeing all the behind the scenes stuff when you just feel like doing a stress relief sketch.
