I think there is so much there for the Summer and Abigail to appreciate plus Gabriel and Daniel would be blown away with the music. I liked the 2021 better, I'm sure Daniel and Gabriel will be amazed with the production.

There are a lot of references that they use in their lyrics and wordplays too. They can appreciate the songs more if they knew these 😔

2023-02-25 05:28:46 +0000 UTCAlso, if Daechwita wins the poll, I think it’d be great for you guys to see Interlude: Shadow too (and if you react to Shadow, you should also listen to the full-length audio w/ lyrics - I know, I’m sorry, I’m asking for a lot! Lol). For me, these two MVs are companion pieces - I see the Daechwita MV as a conceptualization of subject matter that Yoongi addresses in Interlude: Shadow, and both have a theme of duality. Yoongi puts so much of himself in his music and his work is so diverse too. I think that listening to his music is really the best way to get to know him. (Can you tell that he is my bias? 🙈)

They had mentioned getting to the BU, which First Love is a part of the BU/Wings album and should be nestled in all snug, warm and toasty with the other masterpieces in the album and shouldn't be separated. They said they would watch the lyric videos/live performances for songs that are related to the BU so we should just wait till they can do those chronologically, as listening to them in succession adds to the experience.

It is a brilliant song and being a lover of Korean historical drama I was thrilled when this came out! It is an out of this world experience with a video that only the Koreans can achieve!

2023-02-24 00:13:04 +0000 UTCIts after the first verse in the MV, sort of a response to it (even vocally it sounds sort of in between Suga and shadow Suga) saying isnt this what you wanted,why arent you happy when you achieved your dreams.He even goes on to say you got that "big house,big car and big ring".The "shadow" is saying either give up or grit through,being endicisive is no good,you know/have seen how unforgiving the industry/life can be. Then comes the i am you/you are me bit with the beat change. It feels to me like Suga is just saying what most of us feel.The 2 voices in our heads,one pushing us forwards and one saying you can stop now but then you realise stopping or even taking it a bit easier may mean falling behind.So we are tired and need a change but are still afraid of an even worse reality/losing it all and yet still sometimes think "i dont care just take it all and give me a break",the constant struggle within ourselves.But there is no real answer because both sides are still us,we want both,we feel both.Nothing to do but embrace your shadow. This is just my intepretation or what i feel from the song given my own personal situation and experiences.It reminds me alot of Sugas Interlude (on Halseys album) .

It’s a really personal track as he discusses his experience with depression and social anxiety and the lyrics are hard hitting and emotional to say the least. Even the whole thing with Eminem dealing with his anxiety and staring at himself in the bathroom in the mirror which is a huge theme in the movie and the song …. It’s wild bc I know yoongi was so inspired by Eminem… even the way the song builds… it’s got a similar vibe and I love that… but I loved Eminem too… so maybe it’s why yoongis one of my biases lol I’m so excited for his concerts !!! He has constant cadence switches and they intensify as the song goes on. Kind of a surprise that this isn't on the list. "What Do You Think" and "People" are also my favorites. The entire D-2 is fire.

I also agree with some of the comments that say Daechwita is complicated song if you do not have a understanding of his previous songs, Korean language and Korean history/ stories. So although I love Daechwita, I gotta vote for “Agust D” MV.

Voting for Daechwita because I think Persona, Shadow and Ego should be watched consecutively to really build on the Map of the Soul concept.

It’s too rich and nuanced to just watch the MV and think “oh cool song” the genius of Suga lies in his lyrical mastery and knowledge of his culture

His music is so versatile I will vote for Daechwita but I hope you decide to do another song of suga's also. There are so many incredible options for videos to watch. He has also a collab with PSY called "That That"that he produced and featured in. That song is just so hype and fun. I know eventually you will get to watching more videos of each member but the struggle is real everytime there is a poll!!! Lol can not wait!!!!!

All songs in the poll are equally great and showcases Suga's artistry. Just a tip though, if you do react to Daechwita, it would be helpful to also check out the Explained video by a Korean (DKDKTV YT channel). It does have cultural references which can be confusing or probably not hit as intended without the context. After I saw the explained, I had a deeper appreciation of the song and the genius that is Agust D. 💜However, with or without it, you can still enjoy the song and MV. ☺️

There is an awesome short of Suga playing piano just on his own in front of a window and another playing the piano on stage. The same goes to RM and J-hope, these boys duality keep me stuck here as an Army since 2016!
