Here is the uncut reaction to the latest episode of TLAB. We ran into some frame skipping issues with this video so we apologize for that. I believe I've found a fix for this.

About Aang's fighting abilities at this point - he's mastered air bending so he's already as capable as anyone else, but air bending is primarily about defensive movements, in contrast to fire bending that's focused on offensive moves. That'll become more apparent as we go but it's just fun to keep an eye out for how each bending style and philosophy is different :)

It's just the Avatar that's particularly powerful because they can master all four elements. And as mentioned above the Avatar is reincarnated into each nation in turn (and because of that cycle, the people looking for the Avatar just know that he should have been born into the Air Nation this time). Looking forward to you guys getting deeper into the story and the world building 😁 You're gonna see a lot of different cities

2023-02-03 12:18:36 +0000 UTCJust a fun fact that I remember from when I first watched this series years ago was that the different "Bending" styles are based off of different martial arts styles. For example, for the water bending, they based it off Tai Chi. You can actually kind of see it in the opening sequence when they talk about the different nations. I'm pretty sure Men's Health was one of the sites that did an article about it years ago when they first put the series onto Netflix if you ever want to look it up. If you ever do decide to look it up just be aware that the Men's Health article shows a couple characters that you haven't met yet and actually talks about one in particular.

Most of the airbenders were born in Air Temples, and Aang was living with monks (thus his shaved head). The first airbenders learned their art from the flying bison. Depending on the airbender's skills, they can create massive tornadoes and hurricanes, and even fly. When airbender finally masters their art they receive tattoos. What happened to all the airbenders and about Aang's life you will learn in the future episodes/seasons 🤟🏻 💧 Waterbending is the hydrokinetic ability to control water in all of its various forms, but they cannot bend water from the thin air, they still need a source of water nearby. And Tribes exist only among Water Nation. The Water Tribes are the only people who did not learn to bend from an animal, but through the Moon🌚 and Spirits. 🔥 Firebending is the pyrokinetic ability to control and produce fire. Firebenders are the only people that can generate the element (from thin air). Firebending draws its power from the Sun🌝, and the first firebenders derived their firebending techniques from the dragons. 🪨 Earthbending is the geokinetic ability to manipulate earth and rock in all their various forms (but they, like air/waterbernders require a source of earth). The first earthbernders learned this art from the badgermoles. I've tried to give you some info, but not to spoiler too much... These are actually bits of information about each element and nations 😅

2023-02-01 20:07:58 +0000 UTCi haven’t watched this since i was like 5-6 so i literally remember nothing but i remember at some point my mum said we weren’t allowed to watch it anymore cus it wasn’t appropriate or smthing (idk where she got that lmao i just think she saw that a few adults watched it and assumed it’s for adults) and me and my siblings had such a passionate reaction (including tears) so we could watch it - spoiler alert it didn’t work. so even tho i remember nothing from the actual show, i remember i was rlly sad when i couldn’t watch it so it must have been good yk😂 anyways i’m rlly excited to rewatch it (basically watch it for the first time cus that was like 10 yrs ago) w u guys - looking forward to more episodes

Also don’t worry for some of the confusion you have i promise all of your questions will be answered as you watch the show. Also a little spoiler: he wasn’t chosen to become the avatar. There’s the avatar cycle where they’re each reincarnated to the four nations. So the avatar before him was a firebender and that’s how the master the elements as well. So first Aang needs to master water, earth, and then fire.

Thanks 🥹 a bit of constructive criticism I’d like to give is the format/layout of the video compared to the reaction to episode 1 :) tbf it’s probably just a me thing, but imo the way the layout of the reaction from episode 1 was better as opposed to this where both of you are placed as smaller parts at the top left and right with the episode taking most screen space. Mainly because since I’m trying to focus on both your reactions I’d prefer your screens each to be closer together and a tad larger like last time so that it’s easier to see, with the episode as a (smaller) reference. Honestly im not all that great at explaining myself so I hope I made some kind of sense 🥹 either way, im happy with however you do it so don’t mind me♥️
