Community Update (CCW PLANS FOR 2023!!!!! 🎉🥳)

First of all we just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has joined our youtube channel and Patreon these last few months. It has been a WILD ride and honestly, we had NO idea what we were getting ourselves into when this all started and we feel incredibly lucky!!! So again, thank you.
Now on to the nitty gritty, the schedule! (SORRY IN ADVANCE, IT'S GOING TO BE DETAILED!! 😅)
We have been working LONG hours with the help of Claire and Juli (many of you have met them over on Discord 😊) trying to figure out the best plan of action for the channel. And so far I feel like we've landed on a pretty good system. This includes content for Tier One and the upcoming SECOND Tier.
BEFORE WE BEGIN - A chunk of what we're doing relies on feedback inside discord. We are finally ready to make a permanent link!! This is a Patreon Exclusive benefit so please refrain from sharing with others 😊.

So here is the plan:
**********JANUARY**********
The first main focus will be to get a head start on a lot of videos. This includes MVs as well as docuseries & shows. To help us do this, we'll release 2 videos a week for this month. It'll look like this:
Tuesdays - Chronological order of all BTS Title Tracks. We're excited about this one! As everyone has seen we've already started this by watching No More Dream. There are a couple of exceptions to this -
1. For the BU specific MVs, we'll focus on a lyric video or live performance.
Reasoning being, later on we will dive into the BU and focus on the MVs at
that time.
2. Occasionally you may see us break the order if there is a pre-req for
something we are going to react to. Similar to what we did with MMA 2019.
We've already done this with our "FIRE" reaction. That was watched as a
pre-requisite to a show (more on that later).
Saturdays - These days will be reserved for poll winners. This can include anything (Live Shows, BTS Songs, Solo Songs, Personality Videos, Documentary, Acceptance Speeches, Award Shows, etc). We have already gotten A LOT of AMAZING recommendations on our discord and an earlier community post. The first Poll for this will be next week. PS - You don't want to miss this one. SOOO MANY GOOD OPTIONS
**********FEBRUARY / TIER 2**********
The hope is by this month, we have enough content to go ahead and open up Tier 2 and also return to our regular upload schedule. Content for Tier 2 will be marked as "Tier 2 Exclusive". The schedule would look like this:
Tuesdays - Continuing our Chronological Journey
Wednesdays (Tier 2 Exclusive) - BON VOYAGE!! We've seen teasers here and there with content that's in BV and we couldn't be more excited to hop in FINALLY!!
Thursdays - We will shift our poll winner videos to Thursdays. We want to keep this in our schedule cause it's a unique way to make sure we watch some of those more obscure videos that are popular but aren't on our radar. We'll use discord to compile our list, and Patreon to vote the winner.
Saturdays -
(Weeks 1 & 3)
1. RISE of BANGTAN!! This has been probably the MOST requested content for
us to watch on our content, and we're happy to announce that it is now
officially on our schedule to get through all 20+ episodes.
**DISCLAIMER - We did receive the unfortunate news THIS MORNING that all episodes have been removed from youtube 😢. For now we are going to HOPE that they are brought back online somehow. If not, we will have to adjust our schedule and will announce the changes to everyone.
2. Rise of Bangtan Deleted Scenes (Tier 2 Exclusive)
(Weeks 2 & 4)
1. RUN BTS!! (Tier 2 Exclusive) - We've only seen 2 episodes but we already
know we're going to LOVE these! **As mentioned before, we will release the
more popular episodes to ALL tiers 😊. But the plan is to get to them all in

2. "OTHER" Vid. Since RUN BTS will not be on youtube, we are leaving a slot
open to post on youtube. Occasionally this may be the poll winner, in other
cases it can be a non BTS video that's recommended. Perhaps a show or
movie. This is still undetermined but we are leaving an open slot in there.

I don't know much about the hullabaloo behind it but tbh it is still one of the best fan made docus I have seen so far. Still worth watching in my opinion. It's not surprising so many people recommended it.

They show a lot of their personalities, they also wrote the theme song and showed us the prosses of them recording it which was really fun and hilarious.

Just speaking for myself, re-watching never takes away from how funny they all are. I would suggest watching the "special episodes first". Then create polls for the rest. There are like 170 episodes, so watching in order will take forever if you're reacting to them.

2023-01-07 08:44:09 +0000 UTCwhat people here need to understand is that CCW's time is limited (real life and all) and we would want them to have a deeper understanding of Bangtan's journey as fast as they can. yes, official content is a must, but there's A LOT of them,some of them hours long and not to mention those that only documents a specific tour. whether you like it or not, TROB is the most well-put integration of Bangtan's journey from debut. It gives you a context of how the kpop environ was during the time when an official content was released. And have you seen an official content showing sajaegi accusation, the j-hope hashtag etc? understand that CCW can always watch all official content off cam on their own time to know more about the boys. But they choose to share their journey with us. So lets not deprive them of the opportunity to understand the gift that is BTS sooner rather than later

It was excellent and I have watched it many times (and the bonus and deleted content was just as good). Yes, BTS will have their own documentary coming out this year and that will of course be the most accurate about their origins and growth. TROB is told from a different perspective - from someone who supported BTS as an Army from the very beginning. For example, Aneesa presents the information chronologically, but not influenced by what fans found out years later - she presents it as what the fans knew at that particular point in time. I understand there is sadness, disappointment, and anger that she took the content down. But as someone who was on TROB patreon, I strongly disagree with the comments that we paid for the series and therefore she shouldn’t be allowed to remove the episodes. I was on her patreon and I paid a couple of dollars a month to help with software costs at the time that episodes were being aired. That means we made a small contribution to content that was being consumed at that time. That contribution would be a tiny drop in the bucket when you think about the years of time and effort she would have spent on the project. So my view - whatever people’s feelings are about the creator’s decision to remove the content, I think it is absolutely still worth watching if you have access to the episodes.

ANYWAYS, For me it’s REALLYYYYY IMPORTANT for you to watch bangtan’s journey through TROB’s narrative. 2023-01-04 10:11:41 +0000 UTCCompletely agree with this comment and all the replies! As someone who personally loves the BU, I’m not sure holding off on mvs until diving into it will be worth it. It was something I dove into a bit later as an army and I’m so glad for that. Especially since I needed time to be able to devote to the Save ME webtoon, hyyh notes, etc… in order actually understand the plot. Adding to what Joy said, I think it’s especially difficult bc most reactors just watch the BU mvs and don’t read the webtoon or notes and it often in complete confusion bc they don’t have huge chunks of storyline, and then a lot of comments saying “no spoilers!” about things that can’t just be understood without at least watching a detailed explain video or getting into the other material. (Not that I know how you plan to approach the BU, I’m just saying that I’ve been excited for reactors to get to the BU before bc I do love it, and it’s often been frustrating, not just for me, but for the reactors too, I believe) Of course, as everyone else has said, it’s totally your guys’ choice! My personal vote would be for you to just react to the mvs the same as the others and maybe go back for a rewatch when you decide to REALLY get into the BU?

That fan made documentary rise of bangtan please dont watch it that person took it off of yt after they threw a tantrum because they got mad that BTS is releasing a documentary on Disney plus telling THEIR story. Some of the info in there's is not 100% accurate anyway, so maybe you guys could react to their official documentary like Burn The Stage, Bring The Soul, Break The Silence. And eventually when is released react to their documentary in Disney plus.

What once started off as something to teach baby Armys about BTS has become sour because of their own ego. It’s pathetic honestly.

Rise of bangtan is a fan made documentary by someone who got upset when bts’ company put out the news that there will be another official documentary coming out. They made so much money off of armys and are now taking the documentary down from their yt after getting so many followers because of it. They are very entitled. They had a meltdown on twitter after learning bts’ is putting out another documentary. Plus rise of bangtan has a lot of misinformation. You’re not misssing out on much I promise

Of course, I don't know if the creator of the series approves of this or not but I will leave the link here anyways :) https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1KvaV_lQ0606o-Cyc51INtg7g4jKJI5qo I know there are mixed opinions on doing the documentary as it is fan made and some things may have happened behind the scenes but personally, it did help me understand a little bit about the broader KPOP context which BTS were positioned in at the time. It shows chapters of their eras in a sense and i think it does a good job sequencing what was happening during specific times in their career. It also shows a little more public opinion and societal perceptions which was a little eye opening to me when I first watched. Of course I do prefer the official documentaries/movies put out by BigHit themselves. However, as a starting point TROB does a pretty good job in helping navigate a good chunk of their career and growth (ofc in my opinion).

Episode 00 is a quick 10 minute video that sets up the concept/premise of the show, including interviews with the guys - it’s really fun to watch before getting into the series. You can find it with English subs on Weverse (go to BTS, then Media, and search for BTS Bon Voyage Epi 00).

To recommend some extra content (other than MVs, documentaries, RUN BTS) I really like to watch interviews because you get to know a lot about their lives, the process of music making, or some stories. There is a lot but not all of them are good. Most American interviews are not good, unfortunately. There are two Korean shows that BTS went to during covid time (they usually don't go on a lot of shows but during covid, they try to do as much online content as possible for the fans). First is "BTS - You Quiz on the block" - there is a compilation of the whole interview on youtube with subtitles made by user "mk". Especially last three videos are interesting (a lot of in-depth stories), the previous ones are more for fun or just snippets of the last three longest videos. The second one is "Let's BTS", there is a whole interview on Dailymotion (which is an illegal site for videos sooo not the best option), and on youtube there are snippets but I am not sure if it is the whole thing - maybe other ARMYs could help where to find the whole interview. My favorite interview is "BTS break down their albums" by Pitchfork - they talk about their albums, songs, and stories... It is not all albums but it is a very nice interview - a meaningful one. And just for fun some recent American game interviews that are good are "How well does BTS know each other" by Vanity Fair and "BTS answers the web's most searched questions" by Wired. It is just other content where members goof around.

The only thing we would put on Patreon only is the deleted scenes , bonus content. We agree that it doesn’t belong behind a paywall. We promised our YouTube subscribers months ago that when we got to ROB it would be on YouTube and we’re sticking to that promise 😊.

They really are amazing videos and you will definitely learn a lot not just about BTS but also some stuff about kpop in general. Maybe you can also check out other documentaries by xCeleste and Rice Squad. I’m very excited for you to jump into BV and Run episodes. If you do decide to get into non-BTS content maybe you can give kdramas a try. Since the pandemic started I got into kdramas again and haven’t watched anything else since then lol.

So if TROB returns, I really hope you guys re-consider your plans to make Deleted/Bonus content as a tier 2. As many have said… the series was made for free and out of love and it’s a poor taste to see reactors make money off of it. You can always give Tier 2 people an early access to it. I also mentioned to you before… there are usually 4-5 songs covered in each chapter. Another option is to have tier 2 people pick out the song from each chapters to react to or do a deep dive or something else. Just please… if TROB returns and you’re able to react to it, please make it all be free on YT.

I know only 2 reactors to do it and to do so… they read Damien first, read the webtoons and the Notes (not even including the mobile game) I don’t think they will do that. Plus BU MV has 2 MVs each. I hope they reconsider their decisions on that.

You don’t get the early years or all the other promotional contents and random Bangtan bombs videos. I see TROB as closer to a raw review of BTS while the official one offers in depth focus on specific things.

2023-01-01 15:28:29 +0000 UTCIf you decide to go the K-Drama route I would encourage you to look at Crash Landing on You...a dramedy about a south Korean business woman who is blown over the DMV into North Korea during a tornado...and is caught by a dashing North Korean captain played by Hyun Bin. It does an excellent job of showing the difference between North and South Korea, which is on our minds since BTS Jin is being stationed on the front lines!

They are funny, heartfelt, and extremely insightful as to how the guys work together, resolve arguments, care for each other, and even how they see the important things in life. I will put this in the request thread too, but I'm putting it here too. I feel like more and more, newer ARMYs dont seem to know about these gems. And bc they are on the Bangtan bombs channel, I'm pretty sure reacting to them wont fet blocked. Thank you for your wonderful reactions! 💜

Dont know who suggested this idea, but it is quite silly. I dont know a thing about BU, and I have enjoyed the MVs so much nevertheless. And even if you want to dive into BU (which is actually unnecessary imo - thats a total rabbit hole) you will have to watch those MVs more than one time anyway.. Of course, its your decision, do as you wish, but I suggest watching them.

If you ever find the time, please check out their MAMA acceptance speech from 2018. They are always very thankful when they receive an award, but this one is very special. Because this acceptance speech shows, that it is not always easy for BTS you could also check out a video about the hard times they sometimes have. It will give you a better unterstanding about how much work they put in to show us these amazing performances and how exhausting it is for them sometimes. Each episode made me run through a whole gamut of emotions - happiness, sympathy, sometimes anger, but most of all, laughter and a feeling of pride for the boys. Every episode me emotional, it was that good. It didn’t take away from the official docu-series of BTS. In fact it was a fantastic supplement that was told from the POV of a fan who was there from the beginning and had exposure to the rest of the K-Pop industry. In any case, I hope she reconsiders after all the feedback from ARMYs, or archives them somewhere else. Having said that, still looking forward to your other scheduled reactions! The great thing about Bangtan is that they have so much content (official and fan-made) that you will never run out of things to react to. I do feel that your schedule is super packed and might want to relax it a bit for your own sakes (and editor Xen’s). 🙂 For other really well-made fan content, you might also want to check out Boracity Magazine. She usually discusses music industry related topics and BTS’ place in it. Very interesting videos, to say the least. So excited for your channel this 2023! 💜💜💜

Aneesa put so much hard work into Rise of Bangtan and yet, reactors were making money off of her freely given work and often putting the content behind a paywall--even if it was just deleted scenes and bonus content. I don't know if this is a factor, but I can understand if that was the reasoning behind removing them.

2023-01-01 02:24:36 +0000 UTCi love the way you communicate with all of us!! detailed posts are always welcomed 💜 i already saw some comments about it but you might want to consider the official BTS docu series as an alternative to the Rise Of Bangtan series, here's the docu series that are out so far: Burn the Stage (8 episodes), Bring the Soul (6 episodes), Break the Silence (7 episodes), all three series have one movie each (must watch!) then just a future heads-up this year a docu-series will be coming out in Disney+, there's a teaser released already but we don't have a fixed date “A new documentary series that contains the story of our growth and our music from our debut to today BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star is coming your way”, so excited for 2023, happy new year! 🎉💜

2022-12-31 22:20:18 +0000 UTCRise of BANGTAN is great but it’s still a fan made video at the end of the day still doesn’t compare to BTS’s original content such as Burn The Stage, Bring The Soul, and Break The Silence - these are real legit original content genuinely created by BTS in order for armies to see the real them. So sometimes I get blown away why they are not being reacted to already, it’s such superior content that none other fan edit can compare. Burn The Stage is even available to stream on YouTube! This is why I’m still confused why it’s not being reacted to but I will wait patiently 🙂

If it's not too much, I have one suggestion: can you please try to keep releasing content as you react to them. There were a few reactions that had been filmed a while prior to them being released. I completely understand if it's some kind of error or issue leading to you holding the video, but if that's not the case, please release them in as close to order that you react to them in. I can't speak for others but it really throws me off when there's older videos where you're closer to the beginning of your journey being released. I'm sorry for the selfish request. Thank you for the content thus far. Excited to see more of your journey 💜.

If she doesn’t post them back, there are other BTS content like Burn the Stage, Bring the Soul, and Break the Silence. And all the RUN BTS episodes are now on YouTube.
