Steban's joyous moment was ruined when Martin brought up how he shouldn't look soo happy when he still hasn't found a job!

Hey Doggo! Oh, to be honest, this is something I’ve always struggled to answer. But I guess it all leads back to how I was raised, and the things I was exposed/had access to when I was a kid. My mother has always been a very “tidy general” kind of person, and when I was very little (about 3 or 4), she bought me and my brother a few books she’d store away, locked in a wardrobe in our room so we wouldn’t ruin them (she couldn’t deal with children’s messes, but she eventually chilled out! Haha). So when we timidly asked her to open the wardrobe, it was always a “magical” moment. Inside, there were about 4 fable books which were my absolute dream. The characters from the short stories fascinated me so much, especially the always cunning and trouble-lurking fox. Foxes became my favorite thing in the world at a very early age because of this. Then, naturally, I developed a very huge fascination for animals in general. All of my favorite Disney movies revolved around animals, and you guessed it, I started watching animal documentaries everyday. I’d draw while watching TV, watching them hunt alone or with a pack, and the amount of personality I observed in them was incredible. I guess it was a whole different world than the one I was used to, and that “wild” feeling was overwhelmingly refreshing and wonderful to little me (I also had a huge dinosaurs phase, but that's another story!). That, combined with how my family lived. We were always on the move, by the countryside, and there were always dogs and animals everywhere. My parents always had dogs as well, we’ve had 3 German Shepherds, one Rough Collie, one Great Dane, a Beagle, a Pomeranian, numerous strays, and right now we own a senior Border Collie! There are a few fox and canine species in South America, and my favorite one has always been the Maned Wolf. The lone, mysterious ranger of the plains. My grandmother was the only person in my family to ever encounter one in the wild, since they’re very rare and endangered (unfortunately). I’ve seen my share of “Crab-eating foxes” too. They’re the ugly kind of cute: http://s2.glbimg.com/Gedr0A5x8_fwhJDzBn4nXwno2FM=/s.glbimg.com/jo/g1/f/original/2014/12/23/0229.jpg To answer your other question about turning human characters into dogs, anything I fall in love with, I tend to want to bring it into “my world”. Drawing my favorite characters as dogs was fun and allowed me to play around with them in the way I loved the most, combining them with animals. My friends all have their dog versions too, everyone close to me does, Haha! But I should definitely work more with human characters. They just fail to fascinate me as much, so I find it hard to feel motivated. Oh goodness, this turned out to be a freaking book! I’m sorry for the long answer, but thank you so much for taking interest and asking me this! It really means a lot! <3

Hi Ana!! Thank you so much, this really means a lot to me! Welcome to the Patreon Pack! You can make your request whenever and however you like! Just comment/message me what you'd like me to draw! ^^ your first request is a painted sketch of any character you like!

Hey, Skailla! This may be a question to really answer for, but this one has always hooked me... Why do you like dogs so much? Why do you like to draw and create canines? I understand your deep passion for adventure. Is that so because there are hardly any true wolves or feral dogs in South America and you are trying to create a universe of them to be with the other continents? Or have you just thought wolves, dogs, and other canines were fascinating animals when you watched documentaries of them in your earlier life? Or that being so, have you turned human characters into doggy characters because you were struggling with drawing the human structure back then? am just super curious of why you like drawing dogs and canines soooo much. I'd love it if you'd answer or at least hand me some details! -XX Doggokitty
