Here's yet another character from the first book. You probably remember him from Up and Ahead though.

Poor old Sam is still going through some redesign, and he'll serve a new purpose in the story. He hardly ever opens his eyes to talk, only when he gets really intense! Then he opens just one of them, haha

Oooh I like it. He looks like an Ender or some character of superstition or supernatural phenomenon. And yes I remember him from Up and Ahead.
