IN WHICH EVERYTHING IS A METAPHOR FOR ADDICTION | Vox Machina Episode 7 and 8 UNCUT Reaction

I did not expect these episodes to hit as hard as they did.

[upon further research, I did discover that there is an autoplay setting for prime video. It's under Profile Icon Dropdown > Account & Settings > Player ]

Also, TotK, hell yeah! I would have suggested it as a next series, except I will be playing it, not watching it.

Scanlan's "Keyleth, you need to learn your spells" is absolutely a dig at the Keyleth-haters back when campaign 1 was airing. 'Learn your spells' was an endless refrain from rules-lawyer dudebros. Also I love your point about Vex and Scanlan butting heads because they are both kinda selfish! I'm thinking of season 1, after Scanlan gets bitten by one of the zombies and Vex's answer is "Could be worse - could be my arm"

And now for the end commentary: The split-up in the campaign was at an earlier point in the story that they skipped over. It had something to do with the Slayer’s Take and was where Zahra and Kashaw were initially introduced. The split-up here just straight up… didn’t happen. Craven Edge was dealt with with everyone there, then everyone went to the Fey Realm together, then everyone went to Westruun. Having those two storylines play out in parallel to each other was a smart move though. It saved them some runtime and allowed them to focus on the characters that played the biggest roles in each mini-arc. That move Keyleth pulled in the tree fight was another moment pulled straight from the campaign! From the moment you talked about how you were hoping that power was not just a one-off thing, I was really looking forward to your reaction to this moment.

2/4 on hobbits. Imma need Elijah Wood and Sean Astin for Bingo.

Between-episodes commentary break: Garmelie was voiced by Billy Boyd, actually! Percy’s guns in the campaign weren’t as useless as they seem in the show, though basically all the PC abilities got nerfed in some ways. What’s depicted here are “misfires” — if you get a natural roll below a certain number (depending on how well-made the gun is) on an attack roll, the weapon misfires and you have to spend an action on a quick repair. If that doesn’t work, the gun is broken and needs to be repaired properly, for which you need time and resources. The trade-off for that is that, on a hit, guns do a lot of damage. High risk, high reward.

It is Laura Bailey/Vex's alt vamp version of the duet Scanlan and Pike sang earlier. Pretty darn good.

No I never did Amazon straight up nuked it with another commercial.

Do you listen to the end-credit songs later? (Amazon makes it so difficult to do it. >_<)
