Thank You - And a Few News
Added 2018-05-12 16:04:29 +0000 UTCHey guys!
I don't think I can ever say this enough, but I wanted to thank you.
I wanted to thank you for all of your support, ever since I opened this Patreon. You guys have been on this journey with me for so long now, it's been over a year already! Thank you for all of your love, your sweet comments, the enthusiasm you show every time I post something – this means the world to me, it gives me life, and it motivates me to go above and beyond, and to keep fighting for that old dream.
I catch myself thinking "Oh boy, I can't wait to see what my friends on Patreon will say about this!" every time I'm sketching or painting something. Because of you, I've been able to take big steps with my art, and it's been wonderful. I just can't get over how awesome you are, and how lucky I am to have you on this wonderful adventure. So thank you, for every single thing you do. You're all beautiful, and inspire me so much!
As some of you, who took part on the IndieGoGo campaign (oh gosh, thank you thank you!), know, I've had some problems with the comic's printing. Although it wasn't horrendous (the product's quality is still amazing) the colours were pretty off. After a whole week trying to contact and convince them to take the product back and reprint it like the proof I had approved, I finally managed to get a response and drive the 13 boxes back to them. I must have phoned them at least 5 times every day, they all must hate me there, haha! I was pretty nervous the whole time, but now all I can do is patiently wait.
In the meantime, however, something surprisingly amazing happened. I was contacted by the owner of a comic book publishing house (of course, way bigger than my Editora Aventura) who wanted to publish my book. We met last thursday in person so we could talk, and yeah... Maybe it'll really happen, guys! Nothing is certain yet, but oh boy are my hopes high. If everything goes well, we talked about publishing it on Europe and in the States as well, which would be amazing. A dream come true, to say the least! But everything is still very uncertain, again, this could go nowhere - but there's a chance it might work out, and I'm holding on to that.
He also has a little art school associated with his publishing house. Everyone there is absolutely amazing and talented (including himself, he worked for DC and Marvel many times already, and his drawings are breath-taking). He invited me to become a teacher in his school and that got me so excited! I can choose to teach the kids, the teens or the adults. Of course I'll undergo a selection process and I might not make it, but the invitation is there.
I've never taught anyone before, but I love being surrounded by children and drawing with them (You might remember this!) so this might be such a wonderful adventure! Apparently, I'll have the freedom to choose the course I'll give, and I'm thinking about a little comic course. What do you guys think? Should I go for it?
Gosh, sorry for the long post, but I really, really wanted to share this all with you. You got me this far. It doesn't matter if all this leads to nothing, we stood on this peak together. So thank you, thank you for absolutely everything you did for for. You're amazing. We're on this road together, and words can't describe how happy I am to have you with me.
