"But not being a coward doesn't make me brave, either"
The pup lowers his head, ashamed.
"You don't have to be brave. You see, you can just pretend you are, and other dogs could never tell the difference. That's what I do."
Steban takes a piece of cloth and ties it up around Danny's neck, just like his own bandana.
"Whenever you wear this bandana, you just pretend you're the hero, and do what you'd admire to see being done. It's easy like that."

Danny is scared of more things than he could ever admit. But what's worst for him is that he's scared he'll become like his uncle, who, to him, is nothing but a coward.
Steban's trying to teach him a few tricks on how to be "brave" (something he's definitely not a professional at, but he's trying his best for the pup).
The scene doesn't take place in the desert, but I wanted to practice super quick backgrounds :)
Also, I forgot and drew Danny already wearing the bandana, but shh.
I hope you guys like it! <3
