This neck of the woods had remained unfamiliar to Latch. She'd waded her way deep into the brush many times on countless other occasions, but now it seemed that she was nearing the very heart of the forest, a very unfamiliar territory... The flora was thicker, the treetops were higher, and the dangers were... abundant to say the least.
What was strange to her, however was the pony she'd met not long ago who was now accompanying her: a Pegasus by the name of Lightning Dash. She was rather collected, calm, and took the situation (by that of being entangled upon some vines) rather well. With a bit of her own help, the Pegasus was free. To her further surprise, the Pegasus opted to join her, bushwhacking and venturing deeper into the heart of the Everfree.
After a time of idle chatter and acquainting themselves with one another, when Lightning went ahead of her through one particularly dense shrub, she heard a gasp of surprise on the other side. With a plea then following, she dove in after her. To her surprise, the pony had been smiling wryly, as though she expected to get caught. Without hesitation, she withdrew her blade, hacking away at some vines that'd then started to surround them...
Within moments, however, she was caught and restrained. She didn't realize it first, but in standing there, a mouth of sorts had already started to wrap around her feet. This was perhaps, the second time she allowed this to happen...
