I mainly focused on lining and coloring backgrounds. For the hallway, I considered adding animal stickers on the classroom doors to help differentiate them, but I feel that a color-coding system works just as well, so I went with that. The giraffe classroom took quite a bit of time, and I didn’t get a chance to line and color the characters yet. I’m still unsure whether the classroom should have a different color theme from the communal areas like the hallway, so I’ll probably try a recolor later to see what works best. I also sketched a close-up of the school board for a scene where Ms. Sharpe shows an educational video in class after recess. That video will feature more of Vaabs’ awesome sketches, big thanks to them, as always! That’s all for today! Next week, I’ll focus on finishing these sketches and the close-up.
