Following last week's work on the Reset 0 wake-up segments, I've worked on the Reset 1 morning sequence. Depending on her choices the previous night, June wakes up in two very different situations. In one, she definitely gets more than she bargained for as Sato tapes the diaper she stole onto her. So there is a serie of new sprites featuring June only in her top jammies and diaper. I'm sure these will come in handy for the rest of the game! (Screenshot 3) In the other scenario, she gets a more dignified morning, even if Sato still insists on cleaning her up. (Screenshot 1) Unlike in the R0 timeline, June has access to the girls' room if she's at R1. This means even more rework on those backgrounds, with different lines when checking objects depending on June's Reset level. (Screenshot 2) And then there's the breakfast scene! I hadn't thought about an important detail: since the transition from R0 to R1 can happen at any moment in the game, it was necessary to write different lines and dialogues depending on Maddie's relationship with June. This took quite a bit of time. (Screenshot 4) And the background for Megan's room is now complete, which means all the backgrounds from day 2 are finally done, phew! I haven't done a lot of thorough playtesting so far, I'm only making sure the game runs and the screens and scenes are connecting properly. I think I'll do big playtesting sessions later, maybe on my days off, but the priority is to get to the school segments as fast as possible.
