First off, I wanted to showcase all the backgrounds I reworked during the break, since I hit the maximum number of pictures allowed in the previous post. Every outdoor background has received a new color palette! I also finished the school background, and I’m particularly happy with how it turned out! I still need to draw the small character sprites for the backgrounds, but for now, placeholders will do. Additionally, I’ve started integrating some of the backgrounds with clickable elements (see screenshots 1 and 2). There’s still a lot of work to do before June gets back home, but some writing is already in progress, so it was time to start working on the next segment of the game. I used the same system as before, which I used to check June's progress and trigger the lunch break earlier. This time, it signals the end of June's errands. June encounters a very peculiar scene when she steps into Sato's yard. It seems like everyone is getting a tan... and Maddie and Lola are fighting as usual. There will also be small differences depending on whether June was diapered during the day or not (see screenshot 3). This scene called for a new outfit for Sato and a new pose for Maddie, who's trying to preserve what little dignity she has left. I'll probably reuse Sato's outfit if there's a pool activity at some point. Lastly, I commissioned Vaabs to rework some posters, the ones for Dr. Lang's office. I wanted to have a coherent style for all the meta-graphic elements in the game. As usual, kudos to Vaabs, they look both cute and fantastic! That’s all for now! Next week, I plan to continue working on the backgrounds and in-game scenes!
