This merchant had captured her curiosity by promising her a chance at eternal beauty. He gave her a compass that he promised would lead her to the "Spout of Youth", a well that granted immortal magic to preserve her beautifully busty frame for ever.
While at first skeptical of the offer, she did know the area quite well. Arabella wagered that she could find out if the man was telling the truth or not before the sun had a chance to set. She made her way to region he described and followed his "magic compass".
To her surprise, she discovered the tower the man had described and in the spot he had said it would be. Her excitement and vanity got the best of her, for she rushed into the tower with reckless abandon.
