I was hoping to finish #6 and #4 this time, but they're going to need a bit more time in the oven. I'm actually working on both at the same time since they're related. And there's also the fact they both are pretty big pieces (biggest yet for Gold Shots) with complex setups as well, which explains the longer process. I'm confident I'll be able to finish both this month.
A new Gold Shot is adding up on top of the others. After thinking about it for a good while, I've decided I'm going to go for the wiser course of action here : I will exceptionally suspend the Gold Shot feature for this month (September), so I can catch up on the previous ones I'm behind with. I'm a bit unhappy about it, and I don't expect it's something I'll have to do often, but yeah. I don't want to keep those who are eagerly waiting for their request to be fulfilled. I'm really sorry.
I was focusing on #6 and #4 for the better part of this month, and in the end I was only able to create two short pieces on the side.
I'm sorry for this lackluster month. The best is yet to come however : Not counting the work in progress Gold Shots, I'm actually also working (albeit at a much slower pace) on other pieces in the background, such as the continuation of Ryu x Ayane/Kasumi, some suggestions that didn't make the cut in previous Gold Shots, and also some personal pieces I've had in mind for a while.
The nature of the way I work means some downtime cannot be avoided from time to time. Once again, I'm sorry.

No, by all means keep requesting whatever you want in subsequent Gold Shots. That's the whole point, and it's up to me to work something out. Don't worry, no matter the idea, as long as it's DOA related, I can never hate it.

2021-08-31 18:56:00 +0000 UTCFrom what I've seen, most artists usually avoid doing requests/commissions, and I would assume it's probably because they don't like the commitment. I certainly see where they are coming from, but I enjoy the challenge.

For instance, I also have to create assets from scratch for it to work - an example would be a whole area to set up the Nanami thing. I'm giving it my best.

There's actually another incredible artist I know that puts nothing but the best effort into quality and he's hit this snag at the same time as you actually. You still managed to get us 2 more nice animations in regardless and that's awesome! I'm super excited for what you have to show us in September. I hope everyone else understands. There really is no other way. Always better to delay than rush something. I hate when they launch unfinished games for example; never a good thing. Stay awesome!
