Criminey whatever's going on with Doc Toxinuate's head is really throwing me for a loop. The alternating directions, but eyes facing us thing really has me thinking she has four eyes. Cartoon magic baby, it's a talking point at least. Everything about her is so odd. The goopy drooling from her midriff. The "intercom" third-eye-in-the-mouth-which-is-kind-of-like-an-angler-fish-lure-but-also-another-person-what? is really bamboozling too. The more I see her, the more whacked out I feel cos I can't get a clue on what she's here to do. The Paranoia angel really has me by the neck right now. The train, the conductor, Orobas, Kid Neon, and Cosmo all have so much importance riding on this one moment paused in time. It really made me happy to see that I could recognize the quirky behavior of the angel aside from just it's looks. The panic and the fear are so real. Holding someone hostage, a train at that. The biggest enigma here is just what compels this little gremlin to want to detach the third eye from the Doctor. Maybe it's like a stethoscope and has something to do with medical procedures? If it's detached, it becomes some other creature and leaves the Doctor with less of herself? I don't know! I want to know! Gosh darnit this heckin' frickin' comic's jankin' me all up with anticipation!
