We finally get to Season 2! I’m glad that you find it so spicy that you watched 3 + 1 episodes in a row. I had a similar experience like you, it keeps drawing the audience in, and I ended up reading the light novel even before finishing the third season of the anime. In Season 1, when Main first stepped into the business world, things started to get a bit complex. Although people were generally friendly, there was already some strategic maneuvering. It was still a relatively harmonious, balanced world. Now, as Main enters the semi-noble world (the blue-robes of the cathedral are noble, but compared to other nobles who are free from priesthood, they don’t hold full noble status since they don’t own any domain/manor/ligeance), the dynamics grow even more intense. Even in just these few episodes, it’s clear this world operates on a strict and often ruthless class system. As for the idea of Main needing to adopt a noble attitude towards her retainers, it’s less about respect and more about showing and letting others recognize a difference in status. It’s similar to how adults, like parents or teachers, can respect children yet still maintain the boundaries of their roles. For example, if a child doesn’t want to do homework, a parent or teacher can’t ignore it the way a peer might. When Main was doing business, she could rely on her past-life memories and act with the maturity of an adult, while Lutz had to learn the appropriate behavior. Now it’s Main’s turn to go through this learning process.
