Nowadays, we really cannot easily take the content experienced from shows for granted. In some cases, it’s because creators try to break conventional plots. In the case of "Ascendance of a Bookworm," the creator limits the reader to the same perspective as the character. Unlike other third-person works, you cannot obtain information that the character themselves doesn't know.
