This is a good episode to show Canute becoming the big antagonist of the entire story not even including Thorfinn but almost everyone that Canute affects. Canute has matured but he is also on this path of ambition and complete take over and as the show goes on you see that Canute has been playing chess against these checker players. But it shows how intelligent and cunning Canute is but also shows he can be ruthless when it comes to taking over and becoming king. Really good episode to bring us up to speed on what Canute has been doing since Thorfinn has been in slavery.
