2024-07-08 10:20:36 +0000 UTCHere is a review. There will be spoilers, so be careful if you read on. I would write it on Steam, but since Steam blocks this game in Germany, I can't. I only recently actually found out about OPT so I played both games back to back (though I technically saw the first game a while ago, I didn't really give it much thought, as it didn't seem my style). I enjoyed my time with OPT1 and found the humor to be agreeable. The intro sequence of both games, prompting you to enter a male (with a penis)-Name left me to suspect that it would be a lot edgier than it actually was, which is quite fine by me. While both games technically have 4 Characters to corrupt (Snow White, Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa vs. Jasmine, Sherazade, Ali-Baba and Aladdin) Aladdin is not really in that equation, as she is more a part of the Jasmine-Storyline. You've got other characters to romance (Emee and Sphynx in OPT1 and Amandine and Lycoris and a scene each with the two interview-girls in OPT2) OPT1 felt a bit more interesting in the idea of corrupting the princesses, whilte OPT2 had a bit more besides said princesses with all the collegue-stuff. I liked the character developement of Amandine and to a lesser degree Lycoris, but Amelia and the OG-Girls were severely lacking in the second game, sadly. Also - after doing the Rapunzel Questline in OPT1 with the option of resetting her to try out the other path, I kind of expected the same for Jasmine and was kind of sad that this wasn't the case as I deliberately took the path I didn't want this time first, to check out the other one in the end. I also thought that there was a severe lack of costumes this time. Almost nothing for Melissandre and barely anything of substance for any character other than Tinker. Sad, really. The animations and drawings in OPT2 definitely became better and I'm glad I checked it out again, but it did feel a little bit rushed in the end, I think. Not just the actual ending itself with the MC being teleported away, but also the "oh yeah we found a way to corrupt the entirety of the region with just a single little thing" ... a little bit unsatisfying, in my opinion. I kinda hope your next game will only be a departure from OPT and we'll see a chapter 3 sometime in the future. PS: I also experience the bugs people told me about. Maybe I just missed some stuff because of bugs? I'm missing one picture with Tinker, and Sherazades Reward, otherwise I should have gotten everything.

I can't wait to see what Salty and his team will bring us in their new game, which from what has been shown already made me want to play it. Thank you very much to Salty and all his team for all their efforts all these years developing both chapters, keep up the good work and I will continue to support you here with every possible update. 😉👍
