I would just like to recommend Alex Lennen's Ultimate X-men video

I knew Spidey has experience with loss, but I did not know he also experienced Loss.jpg on top of that. But all the weird stories Spidey got along the way really did a number on him. The Clone Saga, One More Day... funnily enough, there's another superhero who sold his marriage to the devil for someone else's sake a full decade earlier: Wally West. Faced with the unbeatable souls of his enemies who were wreaking havoc, Wally was forced to sell his love for his wife, LInda Park, to the demon Neron (who's basically DC's Mephisto) in order to stop them. But behind his back Linda had sold her love for her husband as well so that Neron would not claim Wally's soul. Except when he was filled with the pure, selfless love of two people like that it started to eat away at Neron's very being, and he begged the pair to take their love back. They did, and all damage done was fixed. So I guess that Spidey and MJ's love for one another just was not strong enough. Peter Parker as a high school teacher is a brilliant angle for a Spider-Man show: have him focus on the issues of one student at a time, fleshing out an entire classroom's worth of kids. Maybe some of the students have mundane problems at home, they have medical issues, with bullying, pressures to excel in school, or family life in general. Or maybe one has to deal with the fact that she is the daughter of Peter Petruski, aka Paste-Pot Pete (who was smart enough to rebrand to the Trapper). With some clever writing you can wiggle in a new villain every episode, and work to a finale where all the kids reveal that they knew all along that their beloved professor Parker is actually Iron Man, who asked the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man to keep an eye out for them. And hey, this would be perfect to fit in this one kid called Miles Morales. This would also not be the first time Peter "gave" something to MJ as part of their... closeness. Except that one time is infamous for how terrible it is, both in-story as how it was written. Maybe your fishy friend can inform you about it. A friend, who I might add, likes spiders a lot less than what I'd expect from a Spider-Man fan.
