Looking forward to the character redemption of Rugal in the retrospectives then! I somehow managed to dodge any mention of this guy before, so I had no idea he was that important to SNK.

2025-08-12 16:38:24 +0000 UTCI know with Rugal you can't take him seriously, but in terms of icons, he is a major one. He is one of THE Fighting Game bosses of all time. When people think KoF villains, people think of Rugal as he's known for his "SNK boss syndrome" of being absolutely bullshit. He;s also like, the first KoF main villain as well, even before Orochi became a thing. You'll learn all about that when you get to the retrospective. But yeah, from an outsider looking in, yeah Rugal might be hard to take seriously. But he's one of the OGs, and a respected one.
