Bluster Kong singing about winning a Nobel Prize implies the existence of a Donkey Kong Alfred Nobel and a Donkey Kong Sweden, which is some deep lore.
As for some actual lore: the Donkey Kong that kidnapped Pauline in the very first Donkey Kong game is actually the current DK's grandfather. The Donkey Kong Junior that appeared in some of that game's sequels and the very first Mario Tennis and Mario Kart. After that he just sort of vanished, but not before fathering the current Donkey Kong.
And don't overthink that timeline image you paused on: it's a cheeky little edit of the Zelda timeline chart, which is canon but not really relevant to the games themselves.
