The 5090 is a massive ripoff that is not worth its money, yes. I'm "only" running a 3070 and I'm doing just fine, mainly because there haven't been a lot of games lately that justify such a powerful card. I do know for a fact that the next card is going to sell gangbusters, if only for the meme of people being able to say that they own the 6090, which is nice. If you want a good game where you are chased by an unbeatable killer robot, try looking at Metroid Dread. There you encounter a number of EMMI robots that are immune to conventional weapons and can kill Samus in one hit if they get their claws on her. The trick is to outrun and outmaneuver them so you can get to a way to take them down one by one. That's a lot more engaging than having a "Pikachu, aim for the horn!" moment and shoot them in the glowie. It's too bad for this game they didn't lean into the "let's make this a PUBG sequel" because if they had and it was advertised at such it would've sold gangbusters.
