Ah yes, the multicolored illusion of choice. Fortunately Fallout: New Vegas is pretty good with this sort of thing, but later Fallout games were not. There you can expect dialogue options like yes, sarcasm (but yes), ask for more information on the subject (and say yes), and no (which is a tentative yes). And in even more recent RPGs you get options like yes, yeah, and yep. Then there's a game where you play as an augmented human where you can side with a faction of people who are violently opposed to augmented humans, and the last you see of your character is that they're dead at the hands of said faction. Dumb outcomes of choices in an RPG are nothing new.

Don't know about Mass Effect, but I do think it's a neat idea. Just not executed well here.

that is how I want an ending though. Just clones or visions of yourself with each perspective that you just kill. So much better than like the "ending o tron" that games such as mass effect 3 have.
