Instead of using synths & samples like for the first game's soundtrack, they used actual musicians and singers for this soundtrack. And the result is really there, even though this game doesn't have Adagio for Strings or an ending song by Yes. Yes, that Yes. The people who did Roundabout, which means that... oh. Oh no. And as for the always welcome Gurren Lagann reference: reminder that near the end of the anime we have a scene where they shoot all the space around them at every moment of time, which is the closest we'll ever get to enough dakka.
