Since you asked (rn only getting to watch the video). For Dark Souls 1 this is probably a good primer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McXJj7sjcZ0 For other games the xyz story explained seem to be a good start before diving into characters n such to get a base understanding. Since the rest tend to be prepare to cry videos focusing on characters. Also keep in mind that it seems the Explained videos are newer than prepare to cry, so the explained ones possibly got newer info on characters ect. if they are a topic in the video. Then follow the Soulsbourne playlist and watch the chosen videos of the game u want, not all videos may be included but this is the best i've found.
