Sure an Urbie isn't going to last long in a straight up fight, and it's so slow a professional cyclist can outrun it, but when you have a buch of belligerent trashcans jumping around and blasting you with surprisingly powerful weapons you have to deal with them ASAP unless you want to tell your forefathers in the afterlife how you got dumpstered by an R2D2 on bath salts. Just about anything that an Urbie can carry has been bolted onto it at some point, which is basically every gun that does not need to be built into the chassis itself (like how 15 tons of the 35 ton Hollander is a really big gun). There is also the Suburbanmech variant which is a lot faster but has a more modest arsenal at the cost of nearly doubling its cost. AFAIK the only variant they never tried is a variant with a load of flamers strapped on: while they barely do any damage they notable increase the heat of a target they hit, which can eventually cause a mech to overheat and shut down. While it is a funny mental image to get jumped by a bunch of hot potatoes and be burned to a crisp, actually getting in close is not a very smart move for an Urbie.
