Also can recommend learning about those two monsters:
+ Mummy Lords in DnD, they are CR15 and you most of the time meet them in their Tombs which also allows them to do Lair actions. Those are always fun when you get punched by the mummy and fail the DC16 Con check and catch Mummy herpes ("The cursed target can't regain hit points, and its hit point maximum decreases by 10 (3d6) for every 24 hours that elapse. If the curse reduces the target's hit point maximum to 0, the target dies, and its body turns to dust. The curse lasts until removed by the remove curse spell or other magic."). They also got a ton of immensities and straight up magic and magical effect resistance and can cast spells :D, so they tend to be a piece of work. Despite the vulnerability to fire.
And since you asked, yes they can revive: Rejuvenation. A destroyed mummy lord gains a new body in 24 hours if its heart is intact, regaining all its hit points and becoming active again. The new body appears within 5 feet of the mummy lord's heart.
Everytime I had to deal with them was when a character planted/used the magic beans you can find. there is a chance to spawn a pyramid dungeon with a mummy lord. In our current game the Barb was bored and shotgunned all his 5 beans to see what happens. He managed to create 3 pyramids ... they went and cleared them off screen with 2 ppl while the rest of the party worked on the main quest. We are pretty high lvl 11/12 and the barb has busted equip and subclass. so the dm just said you guys cleared them. Or because he didn't want to create 3 dungeons in the middle of the session because one guy messed around xD.
+ Wraiths CR5 can also be quite nasty, especially early on especially with those 2 abilities:
- Life Drain. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 21 (4d8 + 3) necrotic damage. The target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or its hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken. This reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0.
- Create Specter. The wraith targets a humanoid within 10 feet of it that has been dead for no longer than 1 minute and died violently. The target's spirit rises as a specter in the space of its corpse or in the nearest unoccupied space. The specter is under the wraith's control. The wraith can have no more than seven specters under its control at one time.
This theoretically allows the Wraith to create specters from the dead players. So better don't die :D. In earlier editions I think they had a level drain effect which was insane.
PS: Regarding messing around. The Deck of Many things is also fun. It turned my Chaotic Good character into a Chaotic Evil one. Still struggling to play that alignment xD
Have a good one o7

I recall back when I learned about the lore that I really enjoyed it, but I felt like the later lore for MTG wasn't as great as the early and mid sections.

The cameo of the "Emrakul, the Aeons Torn" Magic The Gathering card with the Illustration by Vincent Proce was a nice touch at 12:25. Quite fitting to show a Eldrazi which are Eldritch beings. :)
The lore about them and Phyrexians is very cool and quite insane. MTG got some cool lore.^^

Having a monster put you into low orbit is pretty funny, even though save or die spells like this aren't a lot of fun to play against. But it does raise an interesting question: the Far Realm does not always have an "up" to be launched into, so where do you go if it uses this power on you over there? Maybe it's just a harmless movement spell to navigate a realm where one moment left is right and right is also right, but then up becomes backwards and there is no more down. Or it's part of the remnants of the creature's psyche where it tries to escape the Far Realm and tries to get to the top of it to find a way out.
Or maybe it really just is Power Word: YEET.
