The Deathwatch (more of an organization of like-minded individuals than a full Chapter) is what happens when a buch of Space Marines band together to larp XCOM. There are more than zero xenos in the galaxy and that is a problem, so they put on armor that is all black aside from a silver left arm and pauldron and the other pauldron being their own, then undertake the kind of missions that are risky even for named and helmetless Space Marines. Some Marines do this out of a sense of duty, others to make up for the sins of their past, some take it really personally that xenos exist, and others have goals ranging from private to keeping an eye on the Deathwatch for their Chapter's sake. Service is almost always for a set amount of time or until sufficient honor is gained, with the Marines returning afterwards. The higher a Marine rises in the ranks the longer they'll serve, and the highest ranking members might never see their own Chapter again, even in death. Titus joined as a Blackshield. Forsaken by his Chapter he was now a Space Marine without a home. So instead of going out in a blaze of glory he presented himself to the Watch Master in charge of the local Deathwatch base, told him of his past and joined as a Blackshield, a Marine with no past and no future. It is considered to be in poor taste to ask a Blackshield about their past, which is between him and the Watch Master, who is only told to keep the Alpha Legion for poorly painting over their power armor and sneaking in. Blackshields can rise high in the ranks, but this happens rarely and they are looked at with some suspicion by their brothers. They make for the perfect original characer do not steal if you're into that sort of thing. The Deathwatch are playable on the tabletop but they're a bit of a gimmick army, generally forsaking most of the hardware that regular Space Marines have in favor of skilled and specialized infantry units transpored by Corvus Blackstars, that ship that got ripped apart by the Gargoyles at the start of Space Marine 2. They also allow for highly personalized Marines that have the most potential out of any 40k army barring Knights to give every dude their own name and history. This makes them better for smaller battles as well as the Kill Team specialist game (which is a lot closer to XCOM than regular 40k is), with a single box of Veterans being enough for a game (making them one of the cheapest Kill Teams).

I was wondering why Deathwatch sounded so familiar. It's the same chapter Titus was serving in at the start of Space Marine 2 right?

You had the lore pretty close. The attempt to summon Ynnead on Coheria is the same ritual that was interrupted, by the Imperial Deathwatch, A Marine chapter serving the Inquisition Ordo Xenos, aka, the guys who focus only on alien killing. Side note: The Deathwatch is not a true separate marine chapter, it is populated by marines from many chapters, serving in the inquisition for unknown lengths of time. Also, that last little bit regarding Khaines gate is in reference to the next couple of mainline episodes.
