As it turned out the game didn't cost $100m. It costed $400m. Which is just under what Cyberpunk 2077 with all of its fixes and the expansion cost.

At 12:00, I agree with your take. I also have personally enjoyed "So I'm a Spider, so what?" and would like to see a proper continuation that is done within a reasonable deadline.

It was dead on arrival. I remember seeing the reveal on a stream with a bunch of people. At first it looked good, like it could be some kind of guardians of the galaxy type adventure. The characters seemed interesting, and we are all looking forward to what it would have.
Then they started showing gameplay... as soon as they said it would be a 5v5 fps every single one of us facepalmed. We started calling it "Crapcord" and we wanted no part of it. The world didn't need a mediocre overwatch clone. We already have overwatch 2 for that.
It was already a terrible idea, but then they made it worse. They took an grinder to the characters and made them look cartoony and boring. Nothing fun looking, no sex appeal, and a lack of anything standing out. Now we can make a plea for the devs who were told what to make, but in the end of the day being told to make a terrible product is still leaving it a terrible product.
