I don't think it's wrong to stay weak. Strength is not an end unto itself; if what you want to do with life does not require strength, why pursue it? As Cid so eloquently stated: No matter how hard I train, I am as nothing to a nuclear bomb (unstated: unless I get isekai'd); there are forces in the world that will have their way with you no matter how strong you are. Pursue happiness, not strength. Saten has good friends, she has family that cares for her. She even has smarts, she knows using an unknown thing is risky, she found the Level-Upper without paying thugs for it - if she can see that, she doesn't need strength. She even pointed out something in the urban legends episode that hid directly in front of my face the first time I saw this series and now I can't unsee it, it's in the intro and it's SO OBVIOUS.

Aslong as you keep taking a step forward you can learn, even if it might not nessesarily be the path you want doesn't mean you should disparrage what you have. Life is a odd thing afterall
