That's a good point. The dynamic would suffer for sure, and I have to agree with the expanding of the horizons bit. It becomes easier to accept problems when you know that's just the way of things.

2023-10-16 05:26:07 +0000 UTCI think it's less that we get desensitized to problems, and more that we have a wider horizon. We have experienced more, we know that problems have solutions - and that even if they don't, the world moves forward. I don't think Megumi coming along would work (even if all the logistics worked out). The group dynamic among our four travelers is that of new friends just getting to know one another; one bringing along an old friend with outdated ideas about what their friend is like would be a real drag, I think.
